Dude, you can find about 20 or 25 guys just like him every year in the draft on day three.

There is absolutely nothing special about him at all.
Maybe you are right, but he was a big body and they had no problem keeping him in the team out of training camp, this lends value to his talent and potential. A GM who is on top of things mitigates injuries and minimizes losses, this is just another example of how the Jones boys are playing checkers when this team needs chess masters. IMO

Hankins started off looking starter quality, but it's been downhill since.
Thought Hankins would give us 1 starting quality DT, but I still think we're still at 0.

....watching the Baldy thread, none of those plays appear to back your point.

He's there to anchor the line, around which the defense can stands, unfortunately, Gallimore has a point and its predicated in the Baldy thread where we see...
Bohanna/Fowler on blown stunts,
Osa falling into the trap of seeing a pass-rush lane and taking it, when that's exactly what GB wanted as it's a run play and Osa's rush actually creates the lane.
If you're blaming Hankins, it's because he's not visible or running around like a headless chicken....but that's exactly what you want from a 1-tech.

Hankins is a good rotational NT. He only played 25% of snaps last game, so he can only do so much.

Any of you who think our DLine is adequate needed to watch TENN's DLine. They make our DLine look like High Schoolers.

Making needless excuses after we've failed and lost is getting old.
Let's make the corrections and talk about it after we've won!

How they respond against a tough Vikings team will go a long ways towards determining what we are going to be this year.

We are about to either get right or fall apart.

The schedule is perfect for a defensive collapse vs the run games of Minny and NY.

Let's see this sound, assignment based football they been talking about.

Exactly -- regurgitating what the coaches have told us, after the damage has been done is a waste of time!

Making the necessary corrections is the only sure way to become a competent and winning team again. o_O

Spot on??? He said nothing. It's as if he doesn't even have a clue as to what they are or aren't doing wrong. Might as well just regurgitate the whole work hard and give it 110% BS
I seen a play when Jones scored. Gallimore looked as if he was tryna get around the DE and left a 3 man hole open

Hankins may be the best run defender of a bad lot, but that doesn't make him a good run defender.
Showing a play where everyone is doing the wrong thing is not evidence that *any* of them are good players.

"Good rotational" sounds like "not starting quality" to me.
In his snaps in the last game, are you seeing starter quality play out of him? I didn't.

I was all onboard with bringing in Hankins, and expected him to be a starting quality DT. Seemed like he was early, but hasn't been lately.

The number of coaches on this board continue to amaze me.....
I know, right? I understand what he was saying. They got sloppy on their assignments. We'll see if he walks the walk this sunday.

If the defense keeps looking bad I don't blame the offense for throwing. The only way to make them look good is to put the opposing team in obvious passing downs and even then our run defense is so bad they still don't throw it.

Watch we'll beat the hell out of the Vikes and lose to the Giants (lol)
Thats pretty spot on with who we are. Win a big game and lose the one we're supposed to win and vice versa. Ultimately our DL can talk all they want however if they want to succeed, they have to hit, scratch, claw, fight, and physically manhandle the guy lined up across from them. It really comes down to who's the most physical player(s). We saw that in the playoffs last year.
