Twitter: Gallimore talks about Cowboys struggles against the run

Spot on??? He said nothing. It's as if he doesn't even have a clue as to what they are or aren't doing wrong. Might as well just regurgitate the whole work hard and give it 110% BS
It was spot on. Telling you don’t understand.

Guess Who??
Skip Bayless?

"Good rotational" sounds like "not starting quality" to me.
In his snaps in the last game, are you seeing starter quality play out of him? I didn't.

I was all onboard with bringing in Hankins, and expected him to be a starting quality DT. Seemed like he was early, but hasn't been lately.
Low end starter.

Thats pretty spot on with who we are. Win a big game and lose the one we're supposed to win and vice versa. Ultimately our DL can talk all they want however if they want to succeed, they have to hit, scratch, claw, fight, and physically manhandle the guy lined up across from them. It really comes down to who's the most physical player(s). We saw that in the playoffs last year.
The most talented physical player.

Low end starter.

Low end starter, high end rotational player.

If that's the best we've got, and he's ancient, we don't have squat.

Every snap for Hankins over Bohanna is a step in the right direction. I'll take it. But we still stink at DT.

I begin to wonder if there is just something wrong with the scheme. I expected more out of Gallimore. I expected more out of Hankins. When *everyone* underperforms, it points to a systemic flaw. Both Gallimore and Hankins have looked better.

Hankins may be the best run defender of a bad lot, but that doesn't make him a good run defender.
Showing a play where everyone is doing the wrong thing is not evidence that *any* of them are good players.

Your point was that he's regressed lately. He's only played two games, so what did he do in the Packers game that made him regress from what he did vrs Chicago. He's playing 1-Tech, his primary job's to take on C and G and hold the line. If your expectations were we'd have something close to Vea and Suh you're dreaming.

It's just the little things that...

Lol.

I think he is right, he talks about guys out there looking to make "the play" and busting assignment like gap control. This defense is very aggressive trying to get to the QB but in doing so they have been suspect vs the run, in other games it did not change the outcome of Dallas winning but now it has and now the attention is on them to stop the run. They get a good test over the next few games as they will face Cook, Barkley, Jospeh and Pierce. Hope to see them do a better job of handling their own assignments instead of trying to be the guy who makes the play

Yep, I've said this since Chicago. They are playing the pass, and getting beat by the run.

On some levels, it's also the unintended consequences of the proverbial Parsons effect.

Someone did a video of Hankins in his first game looking pretty well in holding his ground and holding up olinemen.
He didn't look so good against GB.
