Then again, it depends. Here's the remaining regular season schedule:
@ New York: The Weather Channel 10-day forecast predicts sunny daytime high temperatures of 45 degrees with 11 mph winds. Should the weather prediction stay on track, wind will be the main concern. Of course, wind is always a concern for any team playing in The Meadowlands.
@ Dallas a.k.a. Home Sweet Dome
@ New Orleans: Dome Away From Home
@ Washington: FedEx Field. Two days after Christmas. (???)
@ Dallas a.k.a. Home Sweet Dome
If the team reaches the playoffs, the best case weather scenarios in the NFC Wild Card Round could be:
@ Dallas a.k.a. Home Sweet Dome
@ Atlanta: Dome Away From Home
@ Arizona: Dome Away From Home
@ San Francisco: Think January, California on the coast (Rain ???)
@ Seattle: Northwest Washington isn't that bad in mid January (Rain ???)
Worst case weather scenarios in the NFC Wild Card Round could be:
@ Carolina
@ Washington
@ New York
@ Philadelphia
@ Green Bay
@ Chicago
Take your pick. The weather could range from decent-to-cold (Carolina/Washington/New York) to maybe awful-and-godforsaken (Philadelphia/Green Bay/Chicago).
If the team either beats the wild card barrier or possibly benefit from a late season nosedive from New Orleans or Minnesota, the best weather scenarios in the NFC Divisional Round could be:
@ Dallas a.k.a. Home Sweet Dome
@ New Orleans: Dome Away From Dome
@ Minnesota: Dome Away From Dome
The NFC Championship Round could be a mixture of the previous scenarios.
So, I guess the moral of this post is, the sooner that the Panthers, Commanders, Giants, Eagles, Packers and Bears are out of the playoff/weather picture, the better.
: For the time being though, Philly and The Pack are still solidly in the mix along with their possible, awful-to-godforsaken weather.
Ah well. Que sera sera.
