I'm hardly a blinded sheep. I don't know how to describe it, but I think we are going to beat NY Sunday

At least the Cowboys fans who set the Vegas line agree with you.

These Giants games are impossible to predict. Throw in no Tony and I have no idea what's going to happen. I do think Coughlin's a better coach than he's ever been given credit for around here. He left some big shoes to fill, especially for a rookie HC early in the season.

Manning will throw for 300 easily. Somehow this offense has to score 31+ to win. Manning is going to carve this defense up because we won't sniff him in the pocket with this group of DEs.

This defense is better than the one that took the field in Week 1 last season, and if it wasn't for our offense repeatedly shooting itself in the foot in the first half, we'd have blown the Giants out of the water.

Just saying.

I don't know I don't have a good feeling about either of these first two games.

I kind of feel like our running game will struggle early creating 3rd and longs and when blitzed Dak will just dump it short. Then the giants will score early and have control of the game the whole way through. Probably get a late surge from our offense only to be let down by another giants TD late putting it away. Something like 31 -17. Manning has a huge day and Dallas never gets the running game going leading many to come on here and freak out about the offensive line.

My hope is they are sloppy on offense still and have no running game and only a short passing game and we tackle well, then on offense the Giants blitz too much giving up easy big plays and allowing us to score.

Here is one more hope, I hope we play defense first and have the ball to start the third quarter.

Our talent on offense is very favorable for a rookie QB, you have a great line, a bulldozer for a RB, a great WR, and an always open TE. If Dak can make accurate throws in single coverage to Dez they can't crowd the box. If they double Dez, Beas will make them pay on quick slants.

Our only worries is playcalling, if we can mix some bootlegs, jet sweep to through defenses off we'll be all right.

Rookie, 4th round QB ... only a Cowboys fan would predict a victory.

You should go over to the Big Blue fan site. They're salivating and chomping on the bit over a Giants blowout.

We had trouble with the Giants with Romo as QB ... you guys really think the rook can handle it in his first game ever? I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.

I just hope he shows enough to believe he can grow into our future starting QB.

Coughlin isn't the Giants coach anymore. Keep up people. Eli will hit a couple of TDs but the Giants just aren't good enough overall. They will be playing from behind from the start.

If Eli starts 6 more games he will be the third player in NFL history to start his first 200 games. We will break Eli in half and end the streak.

Cowboys 38, Giants 24 in a game that's not that close.

The Giants aren't good.

Without Romo the Cowboys are going to have problems. Especially on defense.

It'll be close.

Cowboys are 5-1 over the past 3 years versus giants.

What happened last year has no bearing on this year. And I quibble with the idea that this defense will be much better. The lack of any quality DEs alone makes that questionable.

It's more likely we don't touch Eli than break him in half.

This is likely going to be a very close game.

I hope Red and Linehan incorporate some read option with Dak and Zeke, and we run all over them like Washington did us in 2012 season finale :(

Whitehead 1 RET TD
Bailey 4/4 FG

Dak 16/23, 205 yards, 1TD, 3 rush 14 yards
Elliot 23 rushes, 86 yards 1TD
Dez 6 rec, 80 yards 1TD

Dallas 33
NYG 31

Bailey kicks GW FG!!!

A lot of points for that kind of offensive production

Zeke runs wild, Dak is impressive, but we have that D and I still don't like our coverage units. Giants 38-34.

Tapper will be ready soon. Don't know if he will play. Certainly would help!

We haven't stopped the Giants offense at home and I don't think we'll start Sunday. They'll move up and down the field on us. Meanwhile, we'll be starting a rookie QB.

I'm excited about the season and am also excited to see how Dak reacts to meaningful football.

With that being said, this team has proven that it hasn't learned how to win without a healthy Tony Romo on the field. Until Jason Garrett can prove that he can get his team ready with key injuries especially with Romo not playing, it's hard for me to predict a win.

Giants 31
Cowboys 17

Here's to hoping that this team is different and it all comes together this year.
