I'm genuinely curious what it will take for Garrett to get fired.

Eventually you'll find out.

It won't be until they waste a few more years and lose some young talent to FA, so their careers aren't wasted, before you find that out though.

Garrett is a conundrum. He does nothing, so you can't blame anything on him, but you also can't credit him for anything. He has absolutely no impact on the game, during the game, unless it's bad challenges or blowing timeouts. The refs couldn't care less about him.

He's a glorified cheerleader and a bad one at that.

He lost one locker room lieutenant in Romo. He will lose another in Witten soon.
Yup, the fact he's had Romo/Witten's ears has helped him keep the locker room intact since all three are super close with Jerry. Let's see what happens going forward...

I am wondering if this team can even win three games in a row this season.
Letting Leary go and sec guys go really
Hurt the team, it is no longer the same team as last year.
The Jones fixed the team good lol!

As much as I don't want to see the Cowboys lose. Facts are that a bad losing season is the only way that Jerry will get rid of Garrett. Any decent winning season or a playoff run is another excuse for him to keep Garrett around. Even if we fail to win the NFC championship game or make it to the Superbowl

His team also got bounced as the number one seed in their first playoff game at home.

I guess you consider "one and done" a victory...........did you have a good seat for the parade?
please refer to the guy I was responding to or not

Would love to have seen what this team would have been the past ten years under Gruden.

Micheal Lombardi (ex-NFL GM) went on record this summer calling him a lousy coach. He actually made reference to his “clapping” and how he is just not a very good head coach.

I was glad that someone who still has ties to the NFL community finally came forward and stated how many of us feel.

Unfortunately for you guys last years 13-3 record probably bought him a few more seasons.

I'd trade you Darrell "Bubble Screen" Bevell for him (Seattle's OC). I'd take Red's offensive playcalling over DB's any day of the week, and I think he (Red) is not not very good at it.

Holy crap, in an earlier thread I said there was no excuse for getting cute there, and that we needed to run the ball. I think Garrett is spying on our forum and taking my words completely out of context lol. What we did was the definition of "being too cute." Wow, Ive never been a Garrett hater but Im sprinting towards the dark side.

How about we keep it to current events, like say the current NFL season..........................2-3

Or how about career playoff record.....................................................................................1-2

Yea, he is a stud:rolleyes:

You too picked the numbers that suit your argument. So let me add the other numbers you might not have the time or space to add

career regular record.....................................................................................60-47
career overall record......................................................................................61-48

There you go.

Also, extra nugget for you. Other than the 2015 season, his team is relevant and plays for something to the last week of the season every single year, including the highly joked about 8-8 seasons ..

And since we are on a roll .. Keep in mind, of those 48 losses, 28 single possession score loss, 4 by 10 or less points, 8 by 2 or less points, and 6 over 20 points (yes only 6 and I think none during the 2015 season, you figure out what that means)

And keep in mind, he is doing all this with old Yosemite Sam on his back (and Romo's oh no chokes). Add the intangibles of getting rid of the dead wood, establishing a character and direction on the field, for the draft, and free agency. Don't tell me McClay, as much as I like him, he is a result of Jason Garrett hire. And I believe he (yes Jason Garrett) will fix this defense

Those numbers are of a coach you stick with and support, not fire. And as a supporter of his, I do recognize he has negatives and should only get better at it. The coaching carousel policy never works, and you can ask the Browns, or even if you a re a fan of it I recommend you support the Browns :)

And just as you come here after each loss, or even each bad play, criticizing and blaming coach Garret, you should give him the credit on each good play, and win, don't pt the negatives on him and the positives for Linehan/Merinelli or the players. Based on the numbers you gonna be doing this a lot, but I doubt the haters are graceful enough to do that
