Stupid questions prying for controversy ... "How do you know MLB is important to McClain?" Even if it weren't did they expect Garrett to be like "oh it's not, football is not important to McClain, he's just here for the paycheck, but we like that!"

Oh no! Tony Romo isnt practicing. We all knew those TWO back surgeries were the end of his career. Now he cant even practice every day. Has the sky fallen yet?

Well the good news is that the mediots have another story, for this another day.

They will pull out the Romo is done story when they need to stir up some crap. I think they have it on a spin dial.
Out of 12 pieces of the pie, the topics are....4 are Romo's back, 4 are this defense is doomed, 1 Jerry & Johhny show [as in manziel], 1 is 'let's make up something today", 1 this OL can be very good, 1 let's question Garrett's HC skills.

Things that make you go Hmmm, is how I would classify the Rolando situation.

If he did no have a history and this team did not have a history, probably would not give it a second thought, but they do, which makes me go Hmmm.

I can't put my finger on it but something seems a bit odd about this whole Rolando McClain experiment.

I think expectations were too high to begin with. It seems the Cowboys have been bringing him along slowly to get him in football shape and all these nicks and bruises are the direct result of him not being in shape. As soon as they're ready to test him, then something happens.

Unless something direct comes out, I'm not commenting on his mental state, since according to reports, he loves life, and hasn't shown any mental instability since he's been here.

You know what this means! In 2016 Johnny Manziel is going to be playing against us in Clevland and Jerry's going to be regretting passing on him! OH MY GOD!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::(

I don't understand how people can blame the guy for his body reacting to the physical exertion because he's not played football for 2 years? It doesn't make sense to me. What do people expect? He's a man not a robot.

I think I've just given up on Claiborne at this point. I really wanted to root for him but I'm not sure the guy has played in one preseason game or participated in a quarter of offseason activities.

His body up to this point really just hasn't held up and I don't expect some miracle to happen where he all of a sudden becomes ironman. The dude had one solid hit in the preseason and promptly popped his shoulder out of joint and hasn't practiced since.

I hope I'm wrong.

Mickey Spagnola was talking about this earlier this morning on The Fan. Now I know Mickey gets a bad rap on hear from quite a few, as the ultimate optimist. But he seems a bit down on McClain from a practicing standpoint only.

He says listening to him talk, he is positive, he wants to be here, he wants to play. He does not like missing any practice time. But when it comes to practice, there is always something. Practices well, but then has an issue, sore calf, now has his hand bandaged and iced, from some bruising, and says it just comes down to getting into conditioning and football shape. After being out a year, this is normal. But it's always something that seems minor, even if body is just to sore. Mickey wasn't as upbeat as normal, but as I said, only from a practice standpoint. Mentally he thinks he is fine with the right attitude.

Under normal circumstances I would agree, but he has a history that you can not deny and so do the Cowboys. Listen I am the first one that hopes this is just a guy trying to get back in shape after a long lay off, that these thoughts will be nothing but a after thought 3 weeks from now.

But until then you can not help but wonder and say Hmmm.

Target on sportsbabe. And what even Rolando McClain didn't foresee, is that even at his young age, one loses a notch to father time. Recover takes just a little longer to achieve former levels of agility and immediate reponse reactions. His scope of observation will improve, and make him even more effective, but he has to work a little harder and smarter at this point.

Fans might have hickups in impatience, but he should be fine when once again to a conditioned peak for himself.

I think that right now, Mickey is weighing from a perspective of team soundness appearing before the season starts. He might be losing a little of the current perspective of young men in a developmental stage. As opposed to a long lasting view of team achievements and previous sea depth measurements. I think that we are past the five not level, Mick. But still enjoy listening.
