What win loss record? The games have not been played yet!

I don't understand how people can blame the guy for his body reacting to the physical exertion because he's not played football for 2 years? It doesn't make sense to me. What do people expect? He's a man not a robot.
To be clear, I got nothing in particular against McClain. I just hate that we're now in a position of depending on him, because he's got such a history of erratic dependability. It doesn't help for me when we get stories that he's missing days for 'soreness.' That said, I also don't think anybody in the local media has the access or the gumption to really sort out for us what's going on with this particular player. It gives the impression that the real story is being withheld, and then I start suspecting the issues are bigger than they otherwise might be.
You an athlete, SB?
I've played various sports in my day. Won championships too.
I can't put my finger on it but something seems a bit odd about this whole Rolando McClain experiment.
Paranoia strikes deep. into your heart it will creep. it happens when you're always afraid. step out of line and the man comes to take you away. Dude!
This player is not some other mental patients that used to sign for the Cowboys. Underwood, etc.
This player actually quit football for 2 years to get his family life in order and finish school.
Man, people give the guy a break for once. Perhaps he's trying to learn football again?

I actually like that the guy stepped away from his football career when he didn't like the trajectory he was on. I think that's a perfectly reasonable reaction to a confusing situation.
We just don't know very much about how that went down or how it was resolved (and it's none of our business). It makes it hard to count on the guy when all we know is that there's something going on that's significant enough to convince him to walk away from the game.
If we were in a situation where his contribution to the roster were all upside, I wouldn't think much of it. But with Lee out and Carter underperforming, now we need him, and he's just not reliable enough to depend on right now, unfortunately.

They will pull out the Romo is done story when they need to stir up some crap. I think they have it on a spin dial.
Out of 12 pieces of the pie, the topics are....4 are Romo's back, 4 are this defense is doomed, 1 Jerry & Johhny show [as in manziel], 1 is 'let's make up something today", 1 this OL can be very good, 1 let's question Garrett's HC skills.
You forgot 1 - Rolando McClain loves life more than football - the audacity!!!
Well, I'm going to depend on him, what you depend on is your problem, not mine. I'll do the wait and see approach...you know? Like the "realists" don't like to do.
Sounds good. It's not like you depending on him or me not wanting to is going to affect the outcome, anyway. I just wish we had more options if he doesn't pan out for whatever reason. Carter playing well would let us use Durant, for example. Or Hitchens looking like a world-beater early on.
Try to keep up

Definitely a source of strategic competence...are you?
