Oh no! Tony Romo isnt practicing. We all knew those TWO back surgeries were the end of his career. Now he cant even practice every day. Has the sky fallen yet?

Well the good news is that the mediots have another story, for this another day.

Dang, WPB, time to go fishing!

I don't understand how people can blame the guy for his body reacting to the physical exertion because he's not played football for 2 years? It doesn't make sense to me. What do people expect? He's a man not a robot.

It will take a while for him to get physically ready to go full speed all of the time. Until then we will have to be patient and cross our fingers.

its not right but I think until he proves other wise mclain will have questions like this asked. The media is just waiting to pounce.

True media will jump on this and question it as will others. Personally I think McClain had to do what he had to do. He saw his life going down in flames and felt he needed to get his own life in order. Him missing a practice in my view is not critical, he is expected to be back on the field tomorrow.

This.... And I might add the same with Henry Melton

I really don't care about these reports concerning who is practicing or not. All I care about is that they are ready to perform when the lights come on and the games matter. Both Romo and McClain will get their chance.

Does anyone think that Mo Claiborne would be sitting out all the time under Jimmy Johnson? Would Matt Johnson still be on the roster under Jimmy? The one aspect of Garrett that I question is if there is any fear in the players hearts about their jobs? Do these guys fear he will cut them if they don't perform? A guy like Lee who tears his knee ligament is still at the Ranch attending meetings and coaching. He can't play but would give anything to be able to. Does Mo have that fire in his belly? What about Escobar? I just wonder if we coddle some of these guys a little too much.

I just checked my calendar, and it isn't 1993 -- wait let me check again....nope, still not 1993.

I think that right now, Mickey is weighing from a perspective of team soundness appearing before the season starts. He might be losing a little of the current perspective of young men in a developmental stage. As opposed to a long lasting view of team achievements and previous sea depth measurements. I think that we are past the five not level, Mick. But still enjoy listening.

I like Mickey too because he always brings the positive spin .... but he's lost his mind on this one. It's absolutely mind boggling they way they are reporting on Ro McClain.

I think expectations were too high to begin with. It seems the Cowboys have been bringing him along slowly to get him in football shape and all these nicks and bruises are the direct result of him not being in shape. As soon as they're ready to test him, then something happens.

Unless something direct comes out, I'm not commenting on his mental state, since according to reports, he loves life, and hasn't shown any mental instability since he's been here.

VOR! Preach on sister!

Under normal circumstances I would agree, but he has a history that you can not deny and so do the Cowboys. Listen I am the first one that hopes this is just a guy trying to get back in shape after a long lay off, that these thoughts will be nothing but a after thought 3 weeks from now.

But until then you can not help but wonder and say Hmmm.

I don't wonder at all. If he didn't want to play, as you stated in your post, he has no problem saying "I don't want to play". He has not played football in 2 years. A person cannot get on the field and go full out and not expect his body to respond accordingly. Heck, people who've been playing on the regular have problems with muscles, tendons, etc. This is not rocket science. They better fall back before he really hurts something.

You go, Sir...and double checking is a good NCO's virtue.

I thought today was the day to panic? Wait, that was yesterday.

Wait, I think it is tomorrow that everyone will panic?

Actually, come to think about it? Everyday is panic day for some "fans".

I can't put my finger on it but something seems a bit odd about this whole Rolando McClain experiment.

That smell you sense is the smell of fear & panic. They are basically giving him the starting spot they are so desperate to see that work out.

Melton isn't going to get any preseason time at all. I wish that wasn't the case.
