it wasnt his play calling it was execution.........I dare to say by the standards of this forum that anyone would be good enough.......some say his schemes are too simple.....well what has the team done that makes him think he should make it more complicated?...they cant execute a 15 yard out pattern

and i am very interested in his future as a HC....id hate to let a good one get away....we simply just dont know enough yet we have to give him more time

Jerry said that in his interview, I was thinking what you are. We can't execute the simple stuff, what is Garrett supposed to do?

Being coach of the Lions is a freak'n dream job.

You win 6 games and you're a hero there.
Throw your hat in the ring. Test on Madden first. See if you can win 6.

If the players don't execute in 1 game perhaps you don't put much of the blame on the coaches.

But when the players routinely don't execute which is seemingly what many of you are arguing that failure eventually falls to the coaches.

Using lack of execution to give the coaches a get out of jail free card doesn't fly with me.

Garrett Not Interested In Detroit Job
From The National Football Post:

Sources close to the National Football Post have informed us that Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett has withdrawn his name from consideration for the vacant head coaching position in Detroit.

Our sources have informed us that Garrett decided to withdrawal his name after he spoke with officials from Dallas. More on this story as it develops.

I don't blame him. Until their ownership proves they won't remain a management train wreck, I wouldn't touch that job either.

Oh okay, well now that a service I've never heard of has quoted a source that no doubt is his 43-year old buddy who lives in his grandmother's basement, I'm much less concerned about this now.
