Randy Moss would be awesome, he constantly trains with NFL WRs in the offseason so he could be in football shape. Would remain useful even when Dez returns.

LOL.

I'd say Jones take it to the extremes more than Williams.

Jone is infamous for dropping all sorts of passes that hit him square in the hands during incredibly important situations and conversely he has made a ton of incredibly difficult circus like catches in his career -- particularly in the red zone.

He had a season where he caught 14 TDs and yet his career high yards is 817.

I'm hoping Williams can become more consistent than that.

I think there are similarities in how to use both players. Im remember from Jones first stint i GB that they really tried to make him and everydown WR and he was just too erratic. Once they got Cobb, and Jones was a sub package guy, he was much more effective.

I dont think Williams is quite as talented as Jones, but is more trust worthy then Jones.

Hey what about James Jones?

He had career high 77 catches last season, led the NFL in TD catches 2-3 years ago, and was cut by the Raiders and the Giants this off-season.

Oh whoops.

All kidding aside, would have like to see the Cowboys bring Jones in after the Raiders cut him.

I thought you were a Packers fan.

We need to draft a WR every year.

That's not a bad idea. I know we want to run first. But you need WR's in this league. Other than Whitehead, we struck out on our UDFA's this year and I'm not completely sold on him.

I would kick the tires. It's weird how fast his game dropped off, ironically enough, after having a foot injury.

He had bad knees before he even got to the league. He was never healthy. Just one of those guys whose body couldn't take the punishment.

Packer's approach of taking one in the 2nd or 3rd round every year or so seems to be work out for them:

2006 Greg Jennings (2nd)
2007 Jame Jones (3rd)
2008 Jordy Nelson (2nd)
2011 Randall Cobb (2nd)
2014 Davonte Adams (3rd)

Cowboys seem to be big believer of the same philosophy -- with a slightly different twist -- taking TEs in the 2nd round often.

Too bad we missed out on James Jones (I know we had no room for him but the timing just sucks)

We need to bring in a physical WR if possible. Not sure there is one worth bringing in. I still wonder if Escobar can play some X. He doesn't have enough speed to be a X but he could play the short and intermediate routes. Can Williams get into his routes from the X with press coverage?

Rodney Smith is big enough. Can he play?
