Oh, ok, sarge (no disrespect here, former Army myself) I should clarify: I never said Garrett threw anyone under the bus and even think blame is too strong here. But Garrett does question Romo's decision to pass out of the run play, which is ok by me. King and others may see that as blaming Garrett but I think that is even too much of a "hot take."
Lol, this after action report would touch upon many exclusionary directions before just settling upon any prime cause being either Tony Romo then, or Dak Prescott now. Agreed...

This is a good "feel good" article.

I hope our team doesn't go into next season expecting it to be this easy though, they need to be angry, not complacent.

It's a fine line of how you handle a winning season that ends disappointing. I believe our teams in the Romo era seemed to take the losses almost too hard. Romo looked pitiful after losses with his head down and defensive in post game interviews early in his career. We always went into the next season as the media's favorite to go all the way and we just never had that same fire from one year to the next.

Dak almost seems satisfied to add this loss to his list of experiences based on his words. Satisfied isn't the right word but he expects this loss to make the team better next season. I'm not sure if this is better or worse but it's hard to have two very good seasons back to back....it's something this franchise hasn't really done in two decades. You're going to have to work double as have the same success.

Oh, you are preaching to the choir here...there is a final level that has not been reached as long as a Green Bay can just ignore the Cowboys and succeed.

Jesus Christ dude. So 7+ years ago before he was a head coach you talked to him about play calling? What are you angling for here? Dude already said he respected your coaching background, and I assume that extends to your insight into the game. At the end of the day though, you're logged into the fan zone discussing with us.
I did sound pretty smug myself last night. Note to self, don't post past midnight.

I'm a HS coach Texas. Bee a head coach since 04.

Awesome. At the risk of being contradictory I'd say that gives you additional credibility. Texas high school football is no joke. I grew up in Killeen which managed to become a minor hotbed for a few years. Live in San Antonio now, and wouldn't mind getting into coaching ... if my wife allows her precious baby boy to put on the pads lol

I have a BA in Political Science, but wouldn't mind coaching as an assistant and teaching math...with an education degree or the military program to teach with military experience and a degree already.

Maybe read it again?

"“I think every team in the National Football League comes into the season with the objective of winning the Super Bowl. If you don’t have that objective you’re probably in the wrong business. There’s one team that’s going to have that feeling; there's going to be 31 teams that don’t have that feeling; there’s going to be about just under 2,000 players who don’t have that feeling. There's going to be about 70 players who do. There's going to be about 20 coaches who have the feeling and the rest of them won’t. We’re one of the teams at this point in the season that our goals and our dreams are not going to happen this year. But we’re going to learn from the experience and we’re going to be better for the experience.”"

A little too much "we"... vague... ambiguous....

This is an instance where I want I to see "I"... as in, "I need to do a better job as head coach"...." I need to make better decisions"...... "I made mistakes out there and I can't continue to do that"

Why not? Some players do it... how about "he do it"?

Its very rewarding if tou let it be. Some people make it all about themselves and forget that its about the kids. If you do it, enjoy it. Too many coaches take it to far.

Garrett needs better players on defense. He has done well with no defense for 8 full seasons, IMO (throw out 2015 when he didn't have offense or defense). I will judge him when the team is more complete.

Are the defenses of GB or Atlanta better than ours? Both are playing this weekend. No team has it all. Garrett and Garrett's teams make enough bad plays in big games to lose.

Jimmy often said it's not how many great plays you make, it's how many bad plays you don't make. This team under Garrett simply makes too many bad plays in big moments. Hopefully Dak and Zeke can overcome that.

JG should Man Up......there's already enough losses (especially during the Weeden/Cassel debacle) for motivation.....Coach JG coach!!!!, or go study from the great ones during the offseason. We don't want hand-clapping and butt slappin' from the Head coach.

No, great programs. Played Cuervo a few years ago in Buc stadium. They were ranked 1 in the state and we were 9. Lost by 12, but it was probably the most intense dame I've coached in.

Back then, your team did well in Corpus Christi!

Have you taken any of your linemen to the summer camp that Manster does in Corpus Christi every year?

If your players need funds, say something to me, and I am willing to help...

Too late now. Had a chance to make a run at a SB and decided to leave their best QB on the sideline. And now he's gone. And for some reason, it's okay that this team lost in the divisional round, despite being 13-3, having a bye week, home field, and playing a team they dominated earlier in the season. But the 13-3 team from 2007? Horrible disappointment, Romo couldn't get it done, Cabo, etc.

Remind me again of the mistake Romo made in that game that was as bad as Dak's interception? Oh, that's right, you can't. Bunch of Dak apologists, that's all there is to it.

o_O?

Actually, Randy held his camp at my school for three years. Great camp and great guy. I appreciate it.

Played a couple in CC, lost them both. Had better luck in Kingsville.
