Geez. Come on, guys. I wish Garrett called games a little differently, too, but we WON THE GAME tonight.

The way I see it, every time you can win a game without hitting on all cylinders, it's a plus, not a minus.

yes, we won the game tonight, but I don't think that is the point...what if we were down by a TD and we got down there via the run and he decided to call plays that way.....

I think that is the point....like someone else said previously, it seems as though he doesn't have a good feel for the game. Last week, Romo was struggling, yet we passed more than run....what couldn't the Giants stop? the run. Did his play-calling cost us THAT game? It very well could have.

We were facing a team that struggles against the run and in the first half, 21 oassing plays were run and 10 rushes. I'm counting the two runs by Romo as a pass play, becuase that is what it was until it broke down and he had to run.

An OC is supposed to attack the other teams weakness. Carolina is allowing over 160 YPG on the ground. The goal line plays...there's no excuses there.

Atlanta didnt have a ton of success. It took Turner almost 30 carries to get his 100 yds.

I understand the need to mix it up...but let's mix in the PASS with the run and not the otherway around.

It's been 50/50 all three games. Doesnt get much more balanced than that.

Nothing is going to change this year, we're going to pass to set up the run.

Might as well get used to it, because that is our offense.

Unfortunately, that is how he is calling it....but i think we are more set-up as a running team first....it's up to JG to recognize that. Especially if the passing game isn't working...ref. last week.

I know, but I've been getting hammered all week for beating up on Garrett, so I'm trying to cut him a break now. ;)

Seriously, this was such an obvious case with so many people commenting on it, maybe he'll get the message this time. Surely he will. It's not like he's a dummy; he just gets too fancy sometimes.

Also, we dont know for sure we'd have got in anyway. Choice didnt get in earlier from the 1 yd line.

What, you mean the play he ran from the SHOTGUN?

Why were we afraid to pound a team that has TWO defensive tackles gone for the season? On all three of our plays from the one yard line no less.

I like Garrett, but come on, man.

Garrett was Workin Over Time trying to blow another game with his incessant passing but the Panthers just wouldn't let him.

Just pound the dog gone rock man!!! Quit being so cute, you're just too witty for Romo and company, keep it simple man.

Solid teams are gonna continue to beat us with this over thinking, tonight the Panthers just beat themselves. After those two duds Romo threw in the endzone, stay puft actually walked over to him, patted him on the back, and it appeared he told him to just run the ball from then on. Wow!!!

What a moral victory over a sub-mediocre team.....

P.S. Garrett needs to buy Newman a swiss watch for saving the day and putting the final nail in the Panthers coffin....

Absolutely 100% correct. I actually wanted to strangle Garrett after the second fade.

As far as it being 50/50, check again....35 passing plays (two of Romo's runs for sure were broken down plays....if not all 5 which would but it up to 38 passing plays)...to 27 runs tonight.

But again, that is not how we started out....started out 2/3 passes in the first half.

Again, we didn't come out attacking their weakness....that is one of the OC's responsibilities.

Do you realize how dumb it is to complain about 1 or 2 play calls out of 70 plays?

Especially when we netted 400+ yds again and over 200 rushing for the 2nd straight week.

RW should have caught the first one, if he had, I suspect someone would still be complaining.

Those two calls could've very easily cost us the game. How you don't see the stupidity behind those two calls is beyond me. We had 2 (actually 3) chances to run it in from the one. Only one choice there.

So the fact that Carolina was giving up 65% or so comp % and 5 or 6 tds throwing, with almost no pass rush to speak of is reason for us to avoid throwing?

I guess you are taking away Romo's 5 rushes, fine. But the guy was ***icient tonight, he completed 67% of his passes and didnt force any into coverage. Dont see any problem with that at all. It helped us control the ball for 37 mins. I'll take that any week.

Yeah, no fault whatsoever to the WR who didnt haul in the perfect throw.

It doesn't matter that he didn't make the catch. A fade is a much harder play to make than running the ball in from the one, especially if you have 3 shots at it. Fades are actually tough. The common sense play is to run the ball.

Yeah we get it, Roy Williams should have caught the thing...especially since that's supposed to be his bread and butter, but he didn't. So then smash it in, and i'm sorry I like going for it from there on 4th. Two chances, 1 yard, I like it.

In addition, don't throw that **** to Martellus Bennett. He's not developed enough to me to count on in that important a situation...Actually if they had to throw it again I wish they just woulda thrown it to Roy again. They seemed to really want that TD pass...I really hope that stats didn't play even one fraction of one percent on those plays...

I don't mind the fade there but twice when we're running so well makes no sense. These kind of brain farts by red genius can and will cost us games against better team.

I said it all of last week and i'll say it again Garrett need to stick with what's working and stop outsmarting him self
\
+1 All these people saying that it's just 1-2 plays out of the game are fooling themselves, yah wait till we play a big game in Dec or Jan and Garrett pulls this same #@## you won't be too happy then, Wade needs to talk to Garrett and tell him to keep it on the ground ESPECIALLY if the balls on the 1 ....comeon that was bonehead bonehead bonehead
