Do you think people just wake up one day and say they don't like the HC? People aren't predisposed to dislike something about their team. Garrett has earned some heat, at the very least, for some of his questionable coaching decisions. One can argue they cost us games which cost us a shot at the playoffs. By the same token, if we win, folks will give him his due. It may not be as much as some would like, but it's a "process" with us fans too.
I will say that in one of the interviews (Scandrick?) a player mentioned how hard they practice during the week and said all the right things. Maybe it's partly because winning is a cure all, but maybe he brings a work ethic, expectations and accountability. I can accept that but my "credit" will be given based on results, not some mystical process that fans cling to to give them hope.
The main body of haters were hating on him before he became the HC, so yes there was no honeymoon period or earned hate. It was hate from day 1.
And those same people will still be giving him no credit even when he wins us # 6.
