Ah, but Wade Phillips is an old big fat loser. A Super Bowl under him? Dream on. That is the wrong approach.

That was then and this is now... I'm just saying after ten years of a sad sack defense, I'm SOOOO ready for McNabb, J. Campbell, and Eli Manning to get the hurt put on them by a more than respectable defense... Phillips can bring that IMO... With the talent in place, that's more than just a possibility.

Needless to say, when it's announced, everybody will welcome the change and we'll all be posting, "Oooh, I like what I hear and this guy will bring it!"... Change is a good thing, and I believe we're all ready.

Randy Galloway says "there's a lot to like about Gibbs". Interesting. It's in his latest column.

If Galloway is pimping him we need to stay FAR FAR FAR away

I was surprised that Galloway thought Gary Gibbs would be a good hire. Seems I'm not alone. LOL

Galloway is a big Jimmy guy. Seems he likes Gibbs as well.

The few times I have heard him while traveling in Dallas he sounded like a big bag of wind.

Homerism. LOL. Sorry, Gibbs is simply a top candidate for the job. What's your beef with Gibbs? He came in after Switz left OU, did a good job under the circumstances. He's an energetic coach. Don't sob if he gets the job. Beats the heck out of Norv Turner or (gasp) Wade Phillips. Gibbs is a good coach. More and more people are warming up to the idea.

When is Gibbs' interview? I hope he knocks 'em dead. Hopefully Phillips talked like he had a mouth full of marbles this morning. LOL

Not sure how a guy who failed to succeed at one of the most powerful programs in the country is somehow going to get better in the NFL where he won't have a recruitment advantage or be inherently more talented than his competiton on weekly basis.

Gibbs took over at OU after Switzer on the heels of a scandal and restrictions. Some advantage. How come Howard Schnellenberger and John Blake fared far worse than Gibbs? The Cowboys obviously like Gibbs, perhaps they know something you don't. LOL

Hart Lee Dykes went to Okie State. FYI.

oh, yOU disappoint me, philo. He went to OSU only after ratting out OU for recruiting violations. I expected yOU to get the connection.

Schnellenberger was drunk half the time at practice and Blake was simply the worst big school coach of the past 2 decades at any school and proof whoever hired him was more drunk than Schnellenberger.

Thats why.

As glad as I am that BP is gone, I'd hate to see us hire Norv Turner. Why we would welcome this retread is beyond me. His "glory days" here were 14+ years ago. The man IS NOT A HEAD COACH, though a good OC. Getting Turner is like looking forward to a dull bowl of oatmeal. A leader of men, I think not. Gibbs on the other hand is a smart, up and coming defensive coach with head coaching experience. He's well respected and would solve our defensive woes. The most popular choice, perhaps not, but likely the best one. Wasn't Garrett brought here to handle the offense? Turner, though better than BP, is a huge mistake. Time will prove me right on this. Hire Gibbs.
