TheProphet;1339676 said:The Prophet suggests you do some research on Gibbs before you start shooting from the hip.
philo beddoe;1339690 said:Gibbs is a defensive guy, Garrett would handle the offense. No fear of the option or crimson and cream. LOL. Gibbs left OU around 1995, fellas. Check his resume since then.

OUTSTANDING!!!!!!
HIRE THIS MAN!
philo beddoe;1339709 said:LOL. I simply disagree. Much better choice than fat Wade Philips or Norval.
philo beddoe;1339735 said:LOL. Nice fact spinning, brother.
You strike me as a Sooner hater.
Try to look beyond your hate.
BrAinPaiNt;1339821 said:Another thing to consider with Gibbs.
Why would anyone want someone that left very quickly last year only to want and come back a year later?
philo beddoe;1339753 said:Blake? LOL. He's god awful. He's with Butch Davis now at North Carolina. I wouldn't hire him to shine shoes. My opinions are based in fact and reality,
silverbear;1339836 said:No, they're not... if they were, you'd be able to do better in your pathetically feeble attempts to counter my arguments...
But for the record, I wasn't serious about Blake, I figured that would get a rise out of you... LOL...
But I DO think that anybody who has ever worked for the Sooners before gets pumped up in your eyes, which is precisely why you're on Gibbs' jock right now... certainly, nothing he's done in his college career can justify your mindless hero worship of the guy...
BrAinPaiNt;1339762 said:If memory serves they were just as bad vs the big plays, if not worse, than dallas was so I really see no reason to bring him back.

TheProphet;1339791 said:Your argument seems rather fragile my friend.
The bottom line is that the Saints D was good enough to take a team that went from 3-13 to one that just missed playing in the SB.
Need to look further than stat sheets to have a clear understaning of the game.
silverbear;1339876 said:What makes the Saints' defensive stats even less impressive is the fact that the Saints ranked 3rd in the league in time of possession... IOW, they controlled the ball, keeping it out of their opponents' hands, and they STILL couldn't rank in the top 10 in any major defensive statistical category...
The two teams that ranked above them in TOP, the Ravens and the Jags, wound up ranking first and second in the league in total defense, which demonstrates nicely how an offense that control the ball often leads to a good defense...
