Florida TE Kyle Pitts ran a 4.46 40

the young man is 6’6” 240lbs

Ceedee Lamb 6’2”, 200lbs. Ran a 4.5 40

I am warming up to him more and more. not sure if he will be there at 10. but given our past history of picking first round defensive players, I would go with a safe bet...I would pick pitts if he is there. and focus rest of draft on defense.

Pitts is a similar athlete to Vernon Davis... but he is a way, way better football player than Vernon ever was.

Davis was hyped because of his combine numbers, while Pitts is hyped because of how good he is at football.... and his freaky athleticism.

This times 10.

Another reason I'd be open to Pitts at 10 is this class is loaded with top 100 players at CB and OT.

You could take Pitts at 10, and still use your 2nd and 3rd round picks (even use a comp pick to move up) to get a quality CB / OT in rounds 2/3.

Very impressive athlete. If he's there at 10 (he won't be) you have to consider it. I assume you'd have to way the value between taking him and passing on the probable good trade down offers you'd likely get for him.

All I see is people praising Pitts for his size, for his speed, but not once have I seen anyone mention anything about his run blocking? This is just as important as well?

Can this kid help chip speed rushers off the edge and help keep Dak off his back? This is what made Jason Witten an All pro with Dallas because he could do both consistently (Block & Catch)
