GB - Quick thoughts Week 10

Know it won't be a popular opinion, but I thought Dak left a lot to be desired in this game. He continues to be careless with the ball and gave the Steelers an early 6. He seemed consistent only in that he would throw low speed, behind or above. Made Beasley look like a terrible receiver today. Don't want to harp on this, but still think Romo should be starting. He did have a much stronger second half though. I think Tomlin really bailed him out.

Zeke continues to be the best player not just out of the draft but in the league this year. I'm not even vindicated at this point in wanting to draft him 4th overall. Some people wanted Bosa or Ramsey, some people wanted to trade down and try to pick him up later, I have to say we're not 8-1 if we do any of these.

I'm not sure if Zeke has conditioning issues is just getting gassed or what. Hating them taking him out of the game. I like Morris a lot but seeing him in the game infuriates me. Almost certainly a lost drive with him out there, and some people thought he would be fine as the starter this year or even more incredulously that he should start over Elliott. Zeke needs to be spelled in SMALL doses that don't disrupt drives. And he needs to be in there in the red zone especially. I'm stunned the coaches are so hesitant to use him properly, we better overload on Zeke in the playoffs. Coaching needs to take a moment and reevaluate what they're doing here.

The offense put the defense in a really bad position today. They didn't play a great game, but they stopped a pretty high powered offense from completely controlling the game.

Bailey continues to be absolutely money.

#1 best player on the active roster - Ezekiel Elliott
#2 Dan Bailey
So you are ok with running Zeke into the the ground instead of giving him a break a couple times a game. No one wants him to have dead legs going into the playoffs like Murray in '14.

22-32319 yrds 10 ypa 2td 0int 121.7 rating........Dak what?

Zeke gets taken out every 2nd quarter for a series because thats what the team does. Incase you didnt noticed Pitt controlled the ball most of the first half. Thats why you didnt see a big dose of Zeke. How did you not notice this?

You seem to be judging Dak to an unachievable standard. Sure he had some rough throws but so does every QB in the league. Not Romo, Brady or Dak is going to be perfect every game. You judge him on the entire game. He had no turnovers and did everything he needed to do to win the game.

What more could you ask?
Couldn't have said it better myself. But, those people will ALWAYS find something wrong with Dak just because they WANT Romo at QB even if it means sacrificing the chemistry and losing the lockerroom and team. It's time to ignore those people that want Romo in just for the sake of Romo....like he's the greatest QB on earth. He's only won 2 playoff games. I mean...I love the guy, but he's not irreplaceable. Don't fix what's not broken.

I have to agree with op
Dak played well but I think the one thing he needs to improve this off season is his footwork. He has played great but he can be better when he gets to the point he is throwing the ball with his balance and feet set better. Everyone has things to work on and considering he's a rookie and never played under center he's been great. But I suspect he will be even better after another off season. He is a guy driven to greatness and I have no doubt he will work on his mechanics and get them perfected to

He has been doing this all year. Tomlin has trading on past successes and his "gambling" has cost his team so much this year. His love for the two point conversion cost him this game.
yeah...i've noticed...i get it if your team is an underdog/playing against a heavy favorite but that's just downright buffoonery.

If Dak is being criticized then Big Ben should be criticized also, he also missed throws and couldn't convert 3 two point conversions.

I think he may be on a warm seat up in Pitt. He is at that point where he is one of the longest tenured coaches in the NFL now and there are certain expectation.

So how many rookie QBs go into Pittsburgh and win that game, particularly after that early fumble that turned into 6 the other way? My guess is not many. Probably not many vets either.

Any of em with this o-line and Zeke lol

Side note but Bosa had his second straight game with one tackle and no sacks.

When you get to the playoffs, you're going to play top defenses and offenses game in and game out.... You play like he did in the first half, and you'll find yourself down 24-7 really quickly in a playoff team against a team that isn't.... the browns.
Here's that damn "what if" scenarios again.....

Here's one......"what if" Romo held onto that extra point snap?

Not sure what game you watched, but the Cowboys had plenty of plays in the first half where they just didn't run the ball.

He is judging him to Romo's standard, which is what everyone here should be doing. It's not a knock on Prescott at all, no one denies the kid has been great. Also he had a turnover and has fumbled the ball a lot this year.

Ok, but when has Romo giving anyone so much confidence as to not make any mistakes or always have great games? you take out 2014, and you will see many many times where alot of fans were saying "what the..... was that!" last year when Romo was healthy, he wasn't exactly lighting it up.

So as of right now, you don't sit Dak. Not at all. This team is playing hard for him. That is not a knock on Romo, no one denies he can play this game great, just the truth. This team is moving along. Until that ends, you keep going with what got you this far.

After this year I think it will be too late. Romo will cost too much to be a backup.

Try reading my post again. Thanks.

Zeke may well hit the Rookie Wall, but DeMarco averaged 28 touches a game in 2014 and Zeke is averaging 24 this year. It doesn't sound like a lot but its a significant difference. Also Morris will get more carries to rest Zeke as the season goes on.

I can agree with this. If you remember when Romo started, people said the same thing that his mechanics needed to improve, and he did. So I have no doubt Dak will get it fixed.
