Like I said, the Lakers just don't matchup well with SA or OKC. Blown out tonight by SA, and I expect them to lose to OKC.

Considering that the Clippers last three are against a terrible team (NOH) and two teams with playoff seeds already secured and nothing better to play for (Atlanta and NY) I think the odds favor the Clippers being the three seed. Now I just have to hope that Dallas can hold on to the sixth seed, because I think they can beat the Clippers in a seven game series.

Meh, opinion matters not. Last postseason proved who was better. Dirk and Terry outplayed everyone on the Lakers roster.

Who cares about last season? We're taking about this season. The Lakers big 3 has been way better than the Mavs big 3. Without Chandler the Mavs really don't stand a chance against the Lakers or the Spurs. Dirk had a incredible playoff run last season, but I just can't see him at his age duplicating it.

I never thought Dirk had what he did last year in him. I'm done doubting him. He has his flaws, but last year showed that "playoff Dirk" is an unstoppable force. I give the Mavs a chance in any fight with him.

as great as dirk was last season, you guys dont win the title without chandler. no chandler, no ring, mavs dont have a chance to win it all, but they can beat anyone for 1 series

this fourth quarter is a good example of why i think the spurs would easily beat the thunder in a 7 game series, they are so inexperienced, seems like they cant handle a bid lead, they get sloppy with the ball, and let good, veteran teams back in it! its inexcusable!

I think over a seven game series Parker, Ginobili and Duncan will wear down at their ages. By the time they would face the Thunder in the WCF, they would have played around 10-12 playoff games already at 35+ minutes a night. I think the Thunder's youth might win out, much like it might against Dallas.

the jazz would be a sweep, the clippers a 5 or 6 game series, MAX! they play less than 30 minutes CONSTANTLY this year, manu has barely played at all! we have the depth to beat those two teams without needing them to play much more than that. they have played beautifully in this crazy shedule, sweeping BOTH back to back to backs! and one last point, parker is 29!!! since when is that old in any sport?

Yeah I was stunned the game changed so quickly. The Thunder was up 87-72 and I went to the bathroom and come back to see the Lakers were up 88-87 LOL

The Spurs ALWAYS drop a first round game at home that they shouldnt, even in their championship years. It's their MO.

And their minutes will increase significantly in playoffs if they want to compete for a title. Danny Green and Gary Neal are nice and all, but you won't win an NBA title with them playing 25 minutes a night in the playoffs.

Tony Parker has more tread on his tires than any 29 year old in the history of sports

you love to be wrong dont you?......Magic at 29 and Bryant at 29 had more tread on their tires than Parker hands down....they aren't the only ones either.....just two great examples.

BTW, you do realize there are no back to backs in the playoffs right? they have one and sometimes two days off between games. The Spurs will be fine. Also, Neal getting 25 minutes will not hurt us. He is killing opposing teams. We are the deepest team in the NBA. Neal, Green, Leonard, Jackson and Diaw will all get lots of playing time come the playoffs.

I wonder if the Spurs will rest their starters tonight. They have to know that the Thunder lost the game.

So you're basically saying depth doesn't matter?

You're a Mavs fan and one of the biggest reasons you guys won it all was because y'all had insane depth.

they need to win these next two games at home....then they clinch the 1 seed......then they can rest their guys.

Well they shouldn't need to play Duncan to beat the Cavs at home

Tony Parker is 29 years, 338 days old. Including the playoffs, he has already played in 942 games. By the time he is 30, he'll have eclipsed 950 games played. Only one player (Kobe Bryant) had more total games by that age in league history. Parker has logged the third most minutes before age 30 of any player in the history of the NBA OR ABA (Kevin Garnett and Kobe being the top two). However, neither has Parker's nagging injury history. Parker has been on the injury report as either questionable, out or doubtful for at least 20 games during five different seasons.

Thus, I stand by my statement.

Yes I do. I also realize that starter's minutes go up for every team in the postseason.

It matters less in the playoffs. Dallas' depth helped, but Dirk Nowitzki won the title for us playing almost 40 minutes a game. Without that, depth doesnt matter. Likewise, if SA plays Duncan, Parker and Ginobili 25-30 minutes a game in the playoffs they won't make it out of the west.
