Besides his locker room antics, if he could not stick on a QB starved team like NY Jets and has been replaced by the likes of Vick and others really what does he offer that the two pups on the roster don't have besides a poor start to a mediocre NFL career thus far.

Why are so many people against letting the young guys ball? Everyone wants to bring in a "name vet" even when that vet is trash.

For me it's because I have low expectations for Showers and think Dak is a year away from having any expectations at all. If we need to play somebody for a few games, I want someone who we know can read an in-season NFL defense. I don't want a possible Romo playoff run derailed because we took a chance on a player who wasn't ready.

Btw, that's not Geno Smith. That dude sucks.

As for what do we expect from Showers & Dak in the preseason...Reps and some growth. We will get a vet after one is cut that the Joneses like.

Run the offense.

Take turns making some mistakes.

No worst than every veteran QB under Garrett has done.

They don't want anybody who would compete with Romo.

So right there..nobody wants to play here.

So lets just let Shower and Dak fight it out.

At least they want to be here.

Not a lot. I'm looking for growth from game to game. A little bit of hope in case Romo gets hurt would be a huge bonus.

I knew Geno would never be a legit NFL QB when I watched all his games as a Senior at WVU, he was just not a leader at all, not even close......him gettin clocked by a teammate with the Jets was just the cherry on top........No thanks to Geno!!!!
