Sensabaugh is replacing a guy that was shot twice and everyone is worried about his character. Funny stuff.

Bad blurb about him:

On Friday, Jacksonville Jaguars safety Gerald Sensabaugh Jr., a Kingsport native, was arrested for driving on a suspended license. At about 1:41 p.m., Kingsport Police Officer Amanda Lunsford said she saw a black Bentley drive west on Center Street, turn onto Dale Street and circle the block. She then checked Sensabaugh's driver license and discovered he'd been suspended for "multiple violations" and failure to satisfy a citation. Sensabaugh was also found with three weapons in the car one of which was an AK-47. Sensabaugh was not charged for having the weapons in his vehicle.

Seems like a Sensabaugh signing.

After the arrest blurb was posted, I wanted to call him NonSensabaugh.

I'm just throwing this out there. But isn't it possible the AK-47 was licensed and he was going to a gun range.:

Sorry. It came up in a google search. The license issue is one thing, but the weapons....

The guns were apparently all legal, thus no charges for them...

If you're replacing a guy who has a checkered past, you should attempt to replace him with another guy with a checkered past, that's what I always say.

Traditions have to start somewhere.

KINGSPORT, Tenn. -- Jacksonville Jaguars safety Gerald Sensabaugh was arrested early Monday morning and charged with speeding and carrying a firearm without a permit.

Sensabaugh

Sensabaugh, 23, was pulled over at 12:06 a.m. after an officer spotted his 2006 BMW driving 86 mph in a 55 mph zone, police Sgt. David Moore said.

When asked if he had any weapons in the car, Sensabaugh told the officer he had a pistol, but did not have a permit to carry it. The officer found a loaded 9mm pistol in the console along with another fully loaded clip.

Sensabaugh was booked into Kingsport City Jail on the charges, both misdemeanors, and was released about 2:30 a.m. after posting a $750 bond.
Under Tennessee law, driving faster than 75 mph in a 55-mph zone can be prosecuted as misdemeanor reckless driving, although the charge is at the discretion of prosecutors.

Sensabaugh lives in Kingsport during the offseason. He played at East Tennessee State in nearby Johnson City before transferring to North Carolina.
He was drafted by the Jaguars in the fifth round in 2005 and went from special teams to starting strong safety. In his two seasons he has 56 solo tackles, 12 assists, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and blocked punt.
His agent, Kevin Connor of Atlanta, did not return a message seeking comment Monday night.

If he's at Valley Ranch today, do they dare not sign him?

1 more (makes 3 times?):

Michael C. Wright
The Times-Union
Officials at the Kingsport (Tenn.) City Jail confirmed Thursday that Jaguars safety Gerald Sensabaugh was arrested May 30 for reckless driving stemming from an incident in which he was allegedly “doing wheelies on a motorcycle.”

The arrest was Sensabaugh’s second in a little more than a year in his hometown and occurred on the same stretch of road on which he was arrested last March.
Sensabaugh couldn’t be reached for comment, and Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio didn’t respond to a text message.
Team spokesman Dan Edwards said the Jaguars were aware of the incident, “but we don’t have any comments at this time.”
Sensabaugh’s latest arrest could prove detrimental in him regaining status as a starter. The safety spent all but two games last season on the injured reserve after undergoing surgery to repair the labrums on both shoulders.
Sensabaugh has been on the field with the second team in recent organized team activities, playing behind Brian Williams, who was recently moved to safety from cornerback.
It doesn’t appear Sensabaugh’s arrest will adversely affect the Jaguars in terms of financial penalties from the NFL. The league recently added new rules that would result in fines for teams whose players run afoul of the law. Interestingly, the Jaguars likely won’t be affected because the rules apply to arrests or violations occurring after June 1.
Sensabaugh was arrested two days before the rules went into effect.
Kingsport police stopped Sensabaugh last March for speeding in his 2006 BMW and subsequently arrested him for carrying a firearm without a permit. During the traffic stop, police recovered a loaded Springfield 9 mm pistol in the car’s console, in addition to another fully-loaded magazine.
Sensabaugh, 24, was never disciplined by the Jaguars for that arrest. But ignoring a second arrest could be tough for the Jaguars, who recently cracked down on off-the-field incidents after a string of arrests since 2006 brought negative publicity to a team struggling to sell out its home stadium.
A fifth-round selection in ’05, Sensabaugh has played 34 games for the Jaguars with 11 career starts. Sensabaugh has registered 86 tackles, two interceptions and a fumble recovery.

Did anyone notice he's from the same neck of the woods as Witten? Kingsport, TN is a stones throw from Elizabethton. I wonder if Jason would take him under his wing and educate him on not to make the same mistakes...
