Considering the need, his youth, his interceptions, his speed, the 1 year only deal, and what could prove to be an upgrade over Roy Williams, I like it. I do wonder now, though, if the Scandrick rumor was more media bs. I don't think this acquisition was meant to replace Killa Keith, and this guy looks like he has the size to be effective in run support and the hands to be a hawk in passing situations. Whom ever we have as both Safety positions, I'm hoping they can be every-down players. I hate the situational approach, as I don't see the logic behind showing a team your hand (e.g. this player is in, we expect the run, if this player is in, we expect the pass). I'm not sure we should make the pre-snap read that easy for the opposing QB.cboyd;2682541 said:Cowboys to add safety Gerald Sensabaugh

The Cowboys took a step toward filling a hole in their secondary by agreeing to terms with safety Gerald Sensabaugh on a one-year deal Tuesday.
Sensabaugh, 25, started a career-high 13 games last season in Jacksonville and was credited with 82 tackles to go with four interceptions and four pass deflections. A fifth-round pick in 2005 by the Jaguars, Sensabaugh played in 50 games with 24 starts and had 168 tackles and six interceptions.
He has played mostly strong safety but started three games last season at free safety. Sensabaugh, 6-0, 204 pounds, played for secondary coach Dave Campo and special teams coach Joe DeCamillis in Jacksonville.
Having cut Roy Williams and with Keith Davis testing the free-agent market, the Cowboys had a major need at secondary. Ken Hamlin has started the last 32 games at free safety but there was little depth behind him. Patrick Watkins is coming off reconstructive shoulder surgery and Courtney Brown and Tra Battle have little experience. The Cowboys also signed Jerome Carter in January.
Davis has visited Kansas City but could still return to the Cowboys because he plays a vital special teams' role.
I hope they make Gerald the Strong Safety. Hamlin is not a SS, as evidenced by the one after another missed tackles at the end of the Baltimore game last year.SilverStarCowboy;2682549 said:Free or Strong Saftey?
Is there any way you can copy and paste the dialogue here? I am unable to access it from my work computer.Smith22;2682569 said:Jags forum and posts about him:

Scandrick addressed it in a video on here yesterday. Apparently the coaches did talk to him about the possibility and he said he's willng to do whatever the team wants.jday;2682576 said:Considering the need, his youth, his interceptions, his speed, the 1 year only deal, and what could prove to be an upgrade over Roy Williams, I like it. On Friday, Jacksonville Jaguars safety Gerald Sensabaugh Jr., a Kingsport native, was arrested for driving on a suspended license. At about 1:41 p.m., Kingsport Police Officer Amanda Lunsford said she saw a black Bentley drive west on Center Street, turn onto Dale Street and circle the block. She then checked Sensabaugh's driver license and discovered he'd been suspended for "multiple violations" and failure to satisfy a citation. Sensabaugh was also found with three weapons in the car one of which was an AK-47. Sensabaugh was not charged for having the weapons in his vehicle.

We all do it, we just don't all get caught.
