I have no idea where he was going or coming from with the weapons. Its possible he had just came from shooting them. Its possible he was taking them to show someone. No idea.

I do know that I carry 2 pistols in my car when I am driving. One on my back and one next to me.

well if you ever accidentally find yourself on the set of 24 you should be all set!

Maybe he was getting a hair cut to look spiffy for his hunting trip.:lmao:
Well THAT was my first thought. Lol

It's a one year deal, in a position of tremendous need and a decent player.
I know. I'm not complaining about the deal. Just pointing out why I'm not exactly jumping up and down in excitement over the guy.

Ken Hamlin came here on a 1-yr prove it deal. Thought it was a great signing, even with his baggage.

Well dudes in the projects carry AR-15's and Desert Eagles. So i understand why he would carry an AK-47. As long as it was registered i have no problem.
Again, it really is about the need for all of the guns in the first place.

It's about using a bit of common sense. I go to the hood for various reasons myself. But if I think I might need some protection, am I going to drive my Bentley? Probably not.

He's a young guy, so I know why he was rolling like he was. But if I'm him, I take my hoopty, get what I need, and roll out.

I don't know where he was coming from either, but the article stated he was going to the barber shop. Which was where he was arrested, as well.

This guy is a cheap looksie player who has some long term potential but also is a knucklehead.

He had free agency staring him in the face when he got arrested this last time.

FWIW, anyone who has the cojones to drive a Bentley to the projects needs an AK-47. Even home-grown talents face serious jealousy and risk... just ask Sean Taylor.

I wish Sean Taylor would have had an AK-47 when those guys busted in his house.

I get why he wasn't charged...but he needed ALL of that to go to the barber shop? I can also believe it has to do with the location of the shop, but it still seems a bit overkill to me.

It does lessen my enthusiasm over the guy, not that I had much to begin with.

Many people leave weapons in their vehicles for periods of time. I wouldn't do it anymore but I often carried a hunting rifle, hunting shotgun, and pistol in my vehicles in the past.

It also said a policeman was following him LOL

I know when I was driving without a DL and a policeman was behind me I would pull into a store or something as well

He may have been afraid the barber was going to cut him short...okay, yeah, I know that was cheesy.

But is it possible that he had other errands in mind, after the barber shop? Perhaps he was going to go to a country local to fire his weapons. And would anybody be suprised if he wasn't even aware of his liscense being suspended? I mean, it's not like driving a Bentley he was hurting for money to take care of it. It could have been something from way back that he had forgotten about.

The problem is now that he is Cowboy, all of this is going to be brought out and by the time our media get's done with it, the headlines will read something like "Pacman 2.0" or "The Cowboys lasso in another gunslinger" or "Gerald-No-senseabout Carrying Guns!" I'm already sick just thinking about it.

Was there ever an explanation or team apology that was made public in the wake of these incidents?

with regards him as a player i'm ok with the signing. BUT are we not trying to clean up the characters on this team? WE just got rid of a guy who , subjectively it seems , destroyed the lockeroom, had NEVER been in trouble with the law, now we get a guy who was arrested 3 times?

DOES THIS NOT SCREAM HYPOCRACY??

Man, I so much would rather have kept Roy. Better character and now we're going to lose Comp picks in 2010. I hate my greed, but I feed it too.

Hmmm. I really don't see this as the same thing. Just because he carries gun's, which we are learning most football players are doing now since what happened to Sean Taylor, doesn't make him a team distraction, as a whole. Also, if you consider that Dallas released T.O. due to wanting to get younger at that position (according to them anyways) and not because of him being a distraction, this in no way is a contradiction, since Gerald is, in fact, younger.

But you know how brothas in the hood are. They aren't going to be as aggressive towards women as they do men. Its like if they see women its like damn she got a big booty. When they see some dude they don't know its like Who is this _______? Fill in the blank(You know what i mean). Even if he is in a hoopty dudes wont care.

oh spare me on the gun lecture. Three guns??? he's only got two hands so unless he can make like a chimp and use one with his foot i dont buy the protection excuse. Plus this is Gerald friggin Sensabaugh not Randy Moss. 99.9999% of the general public have never heard of him ,let alone recognise him or target him.

I know what you mean, but if he's from there and this is his regular barber, then they're used to seeing him.

A bentley in the hood...at a barber shop next door to the projects...just screams I want to be jacked...or in his case arrested.

If I'm that concerned where I need to carry that many guns, then I'm probably gonna drive my $2000 auction car.

Just me, tho. He's a Cowboy now so I hope he uses some common sense in the future.

Meet the newest Cowboy! Tank 'the Gerald' Sensabaugh.

And God forbid Tank the Second should have a big mouth, mentor kids in the community, write children's books, call teammates and coaches out for not working hard enough and thinking up stupid, awful defensive plays, and worser even than that, supposing, just supposing he has come to Jesus meetings with DWare!

OMG! Another season down the tank.

It wasnt an AK it was the semi automatic civilian version of the weapon. Its basically a rifle

He had a license for the weapons thats why he was not charged for them

It doens't really matter, but there are semi-automatic AK-47s. I should know. I have one. Pretty much any semi-automatic can be turned into a fully automatic weapon if you know how to do it. It is illegal to do so though. Most people don't realize it, but depending on where you live, you can actually buy a fully automatic weapon. You have to file the proper paperwork (which goes through the ATF) and pay the tax stamp on it, but you can buy one (assuming you aren't a felon). Most everyone simply believe certain types of weapons are illegal. It's just a lack of knowledge.
