I know that, but I thought an AK-47 might be a bit different. I'm not big on guns myself, but I do believe in the right to bear arms.

A few area of the country, such as California, banned so-called assualt weapons (a stupid phrase since an AK is simply a semi-automatic rifle like some hunting rifles, although it does have a high capacity magazine). However, in most of the country (I live in Kentucky, so I knew they're alright in Tennessee), you are free to buy and own an AK and many other similar weapons. I have numerous firearms and I'm not a criminal. In fact, I'm a Federal Agent with a strong belief in the right to own firearms. Owning a gun (any type) does not make you a bad person or a criminal. That's like saying drinking beer makes you an alcoholic.

One thing is for sure, if he gets in trouble as a Cowboy, it won't fly under the radar like those other incidents. Google won't be necessary. It will be everywhere.

And GODdell will certainly come down harder on him now that he's a Cowboy.

Wonder if he thought of that before he signed?

At the 2005 NFL combine, Sensabaugh recorded a 46'6 vertical at the combine, the highest ever for an NFL player.

That's sick. I thought that I had hops in my prime...but that is full foot higher than my best. Bet he can jam two basketballs pretty easliy.

One year deal, low risk. No problem with it.

He has "more bullets than brains" written all over him.

I'm surprised that Jerry is thinking this way.

Then again, compared to Pacman, just about any player would look like a more reasonable risk.

An open letter to Gerald Sensabaugh by River City Rage on Feb 17, 2009 5:57 PM EST in News 33 comments

Dear Gerald,

I'm writing you today because, for the third year in a row, you were arrested for the third time for a vehicle related incident in your home town of Kingsport Tennessee. Now, I wonder if the incident has something to do with the fact that you're driving around in a Bentley in a town that probably dosen't have many owners of that particular model, but I could be wrong. Anyhow, I digress.

My point for wriitng you is to say that I'm deeply sorry that you will not be on the 2009 Jacksonville Jaguars. Your 2008 campaign was one of the few bright spots on an otherwise dismal season with our defense. You were certainly the only player that seemed to play with any fire last December. Unfortunatly for the Jaguars, your motivation for a pay check combined with your arrest and connection to firearms will more than likely mean that you are sent to the free agency market. You'll strap on another helmet and make plays for another team.

It disappoints me greatly that the town of Kingsport Tennessee has such an obsession with pulling you over, considering that there's no way the police department don't realize that it's you when they stop your car. It dsappoints me that after all the gun related arrests, that you'd drive around with three weapons in your car. It also disappoints me that this will continue the Jaguars reputation as "Cincy South".

In closing, I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed. I wanted you to stay in Jacksonville, this event changes my mind to an extent. If Fred Taylor can't renegotiate to stay in town, I don't see spending big money on you as an idea on Gene Smith's desk.

Good luck in free agency, may you go to a high paying NFC team that never plays the Jaguars.

-Chris

As anyone considered that maybe he just had these guns in his car to be prepared for any impending zombie apocalypse? You've seen the films, don't tell me that you don't want to be packing for when the dead walk the earth.

COWBOYS CUFF SENSABAUGH
Posted by Mike Florio on March 10, 2009, 1:09 p.m. EDT
Free-agent safety Gerald Sensabaugh, a former Jaguar who has been arrested three times in roughly two years in his hometown of Kingsport, Tennessee, has agreed to terms with the Cowboys, according to Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News.

It’s a one-year deal.

Sensabaugh will provide depth to a depth chart that has lost Roy Williams, and could still lose free-agent Keith Davis.

Last month, Sensabaugh was busted for driving his Bentley on a suspended license. He had three guns in the car at the time (including an AK-47) but apparently was in legal possession of the weapons.

I personally like the signing...not the gun stuff obviously, but he will replace Davis most likely, which will be an upgrade at the SS position. On special teams he may be equal or better then what Keith brought.

going into the season with Hammer at SS and this kid as back up and ST stud I like the move. Flexible enough to have him or Hammer move back to FS if they need to.

No charges for carrying an AK? Doesn't that sound a bit strange.

It wasnt an AK it was the semi automatic civilian version of the weapon. Its basically a rifle

He had a license for the weapons thats why he was not charged for them

Bad blurb about him:

On Friday, Jacksonville Jaguars safety Gerald Sensabaugh Jr., a Kingsport native, was arrested for driving on a suspended license. At about 1:41 p.m., Kingsport Police Officer Amanda Lunsford said she saw a black Bentley drive west on Center Street, turn onto Dale Street and circle the block. She then checked Sensabaugh's driver license and discovered he'd been suspended for "multiple violations" and failure to satisfy a citation. Sensabaugh was also found with three weapons in the car one of which was an AK-47. Sensabaugh was not charged for having the weapons in his vehicle.

I only read positives ;)

I'm just disappointed that Sensabaugh hasn't been busted for burglary.

We need someone to take that WhatWouldAlDavisDo? bracelet away from Jerry.

Great.

Please. The gun charges were dropped. Making a mistake and getting into trouble for a misdemeanor does automatically equate to being a cancer or problem maker.

No one on this board would think we were hiring a thug if we signed Marvin Harrison and he freaking shot a guy.
