Get a Center!

Would something like DE Baun/DE Gross Mato in the 2nd and DT Blacklock/DT Gallimore in the 3rd make a difference in your view?

That would do the trick for this fan at least...

Defense in any form as Doomsday needs to be re-born!

Our strength has been offense in most years. Now that we have one of the most legit WR positions in recent memory, we have to protect Dak. Losing Fredbeard really hit home with me. Not an attractive pick, but we need some nasty in the middle of our line. I've always been a BPA guy, but I'm concerned about how our O-Line is going to perform minus our dude. What do you guys think?
After Ruiz get selected late 1st rd ..

the Cowboys must have moved that higher up the priority list.

Like from 3td or 4th rd to 2nd or 3rd.

Change of plans.

are you kidding me? A center so we can what be barely better than looney at best? Looney would start for 2/3 of the teams out there. Is he Fredbeard in his prime? No but no one else is either. There wasn't that big a difference our offenses ability to function between the almost sure fire HOF guy and Looney. Know what would help? A defensive back who can play the freaking ball.

I don't see any of the prospects being better than McGovern, who we had a 2nd round grade on and took in the 3rd. McGovern also has the added benefit of having been in the building for a year, learning the playbook (though McCarthy will add his wrinkles, the terminology will remain) and NFL strength training. If McGovern were in this draft, he'd have a higher grade than Cushenberry, Hennessey, etc and he's already on the roster.

I hear ya. Valid point. But I'm looking for protection. I want to control when we're on O.

I think the next 4 picks should be CB, S, C, and LB in any order. I don't see the need for a DE. You have DLaw, Crawford, Armstrong, Jackson, and Jelks. Also, no one can convince me they aren't counting on Gregory and Smith to be reinstated. There really is no reason to deny them with the new therapy approach the league is taking. Also, you don't sign Smith if you don't have a good idea what will happen. I am perfectly fine with this group for this year. A rookie may not even play much if this entire group is available. This is the year to look for at least one of Armstrong, Jackson, or Jelks to develop. If not, DE can be a priority next year.

Good thing they already drafted a center last year to replace Travis. His name Connor McGovern

I'm gonna get that defensive back to polish your head. BTW, I'm bald too.

Wiiliams, McGovern, Looney. How many more do we need?
