Wouldn't rhetorical B.S. be considered redundant?

neosapien23 said:There is a big difference between being a constant complainer and being a realist. People who say Carpenter is a bust are complaining. Others who are concerned with the Olines inability to run block or with vandergajt's inability to make 24 yard field goals twice in a row are realists. The Cowboys Oline is very shaky right now. Juluis seems to be getting hit as soon as he gets the ball. Vanderjagt does not look good right now. Hopefully these problems are rectified quickly, but they could come back to haunt the Cowboys later in the year.
Jay said:You're getting worked up over nothing, don't you see this? This is a popular forum, so there will obviously be trolls and annoying individuals. A simple post from you won't do jack to stop this, in fact it may even provoke more stupid posts.
Qwickdraw said:I'm sure you're lumping me into this ridiculous rant and am probably one of your main targets.
But let's be real, I NEVER stated that we were "doomed or vulnerable" because of anything.
The board is actually filled with complainers of YOUR mold who put words in the mouth (posts) of those whom they disagree with so you can ***** about it.
Why are you here if not for discussion and alternative opinions?
KD said:This board would not be the best cowboys message board on the net if everybody thought the same. Or if everybody had the same knowledge level.
I love coming here and having discussions about ALL of OUR players. I like hearing new ideas and learning things I might not have known. Disagreeing with people and going back and forth is one of the main reasons I come back here everyday.
Without different perspectives, we'd all be zombies here. This board would dye slowly if we were all on the same page all the time. There is nothing wrong with worrying about any player on this roster, or wanting better. We are all HUGE DC Fans and that's why we are here. We all want OUR BOYS to do well. Some are more optimistic some more pessimistic. But we are all fans just the same. We are here to complain, cheer, and discuss Cowboys all the time.
Don't like it leave or don't read or respond to certain posts/posters.
Block users, whatever, just stop crying.
Cobra, I just want to raise a lighter in the air.cobra said:I'm pissed.
I'm tired as hell of some of the posters on this board and their attitudes.
Every other thread is by someone who is "scared" or "worried" or someone who is "going to go ahead and say 'it'". It's all rhetorical B.S.
The season hasn't even started yet. And people are making posts about how they know we are doomed because they are worried about the vulnerability of our back-up equipment manager or some other nonsense. We have fans who grossly over-estimate their ability to evaluate football players and systems while, at the same time, drastically under-estimate the ability of the professionals who our team to see the same thing. We have fans who have determined for good a player's worth without even playing a down. We have fans who think players fall apart if they are over the age of 24. And the worst of all? The morons here who feel that our team is somehow deficient unless we are 3 deep of 21 year Pro Bowlers at every position.
Get some freaking perspective! Quit demanding absurd things from this team. Reserve your judgment instead of popping off about something that will only result in you having your foot in your mouth at a later date. Here is a free hint: if you think you have spotted something that is the Key To It All... something that is the easy solution or evaluation... and it isn't something that everyone else is saying, then you are probably wrong. And one more basic precept: not everyone shares your opinion so don't confuse "Me" with "everyone."
Now, don't confuse my point and think that I am saying I want nothing but homer posts by people saying how we are going to go 16-0. I don't want that garbage either.
It would be great, though, if as fans we could be mature enough and show enough football acumen to not be irrational morons about things.
Be reasonable. Be practical. Show some insight and quit being rhetorically asinine.
Thanks for letting me share.

From where I'm sitting Parcells has "ruined" Julius, who has lost all his instinct and abiity to cut. Kosier is a journeyman scrub who couldn't fill a third of LA's shoes, MCQ is just another in a long line of Tuna wet dreams which will never reach climax, Rivera is a shell of what he was before he hit that treadmill last offseason, Gurode and Johnso combined barely make one decent center, Flo is both over-rated and malingering, and Colombo is not about to make any "miracle comeback"....not on THIS team, anyway. (But cut him and watch, he will... on his next team)
Crayton is alwys hurt and then takes months to get back up to 'speed", Glenn as usual is on borrowed time, anyone who thinks Rector or Hurd are going to look anything like what they did vs scrubs when they face Dawkins, Madison, or Springs is nuts, Barber is a passing down wonder, Thompson can't block worth squat, Owens is a ticking time bomb, Romo another "Mr August," and Bledsoe as mobile as a parking meter.
But never fear! Two te sets will make the difference!
Preseason game four was all I had to see to know this offense will suck once again. And don't even get me started on the over-rated defense, which has yet to prove anything. Suffice it to say that Ellis in coverage one time will blow his candy arse confidence to shreds again, Carpenter is slow, and steady, and five seconds late like clockwork, Ferguson "got paid" and that's all she wrote, and Brad Johnson made fools of both Henry and Newman, no blitz or not.
Then we've got offensive game calling by committee again, headed by that obstinate old coot whose playbook hasn't modernized since Red Grange.
There's only ONE 'rational' perspective.
And that is that we're doomed. :laugh1:

I think you are a good poster and I like you.. and I actually agree with a lot of what you are saying.. but, honestly, this is just the nature of forums.. it's like when you go to a game at Texas Stadium.. there are gonna be some drunk idiots who start screaming and cussing every time Bledsoe throws an incompletion and every time the other team gains four yards.. is it irritating? yes.. do they look stupid? yes.. but those idiots have every bit as big a right to be at Texas Stadium as you do.. they paid for their ticket and they have a seat.. you have two choices: get mad and angry at them and let it ruin your experience, or you just accept it and actually embrace it as part of the atmosphere.. i choose the latter..
I give her six weeks to either get hurt or 'disappear'.FuzzyLumpkins said:Just couldnt control yourself could you. Not even Glenn saw mercy.
