I think it was the slapping around and spit on comment I saw from you the other day. I just searched your posts regarding AJ.

You are correct. Tho you are not an out and out true supporter of bringing him here, you haven't been who I was thinking of.

My appologies.

Tom was short for me banging out your handle. Sorry.

Ill stick w/ TomsonUnicornWhisperer75 next time? :)

No worries. The stripper thing was a poor attempt at humor...I don't have the subtle charms of Superpunk apparently.:

Spears is trash i think its ludicris for people to see its a pass happy league but want to have a DE that can't get any pressure on the QB.

do we need to go get all the stats for 3-4 DE's around the league and post those for you? Or are all of them trash too?

Why dont you tell us who the good pass rushing 3-4 DE's are, then we'll compare the numbers

It's just a fact right now in the league...not many DE's in the 3-4 are racking up big pass rush numbers

David is correct. You really need to understand the 3-4 before posting some of these crazy negatives against Spears

Getting Pacman more than offsets for Bobby Carpenter and maybe even Anthony Spencer being busts. We have to do better in this years first round.

this aint madden

Well that where some different on what we consider solid players. I agree with Spears. I think sometimes people forget that we run a 3-4 and the DE arent gonna have many sacks. As far as SS? Well we arent very solid there.

You :bang2: don't :bang2: get :bang2: a great pass rush :bang2: from :bang2: your :bang2: defensive ends :bang2: in a 3-4 defense. Pressure comes from your linebackers in a 3-4. Parcells retired the 4-3 defense (the kind with the great pass rushing defensive ends)... how many seasons ago???:bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

Actually Spencer played well for a rookie DE earlier in the season when he was learning a new position and playing in a new defensive 34 scheme he wasn't familiar with. It just happened that we have a veteran 33 year old OLB who somewhat familiar with the 34 scheme & also in NFL physical condition (unlike a rookie who hasn't gone through our weight conditioning program).

Don't understand why some on this period are so anxious to label rookies as busts because they unable to start immediately on a playoff team which ended up going 13-3 in 07. Do you think it somehow makes you appear smart or knowledgeable? Well, actually it shows the reverse.

What I think it will do is allow us to be more flexible in the first round. Now we can take a RB and WR in the first round and a corner in the second since it will no longer be a pressing need.

I think its just as big of a need as it would be if he wasn't acquired.

You don't know when you will lose him. You have to plan as though you won't have him at some point.

I know the stats and i know the arguement 3-4 DE's don't get as much sacks for x amount of reason. I've looked around the league and spears stats aren't that good. For him to be a 1st round pick compared to the numbers he is putting up makes him trash. Wade's 3-4 was supposed to be the ultimate attack and the players were so happy and they were going to finally get after the QB how spears numbers were higher in Parcell's system. Which tells me one of two things he doesn't fight in Wade's system or it is taken him a while to adjust. If it is the latter then that wouldn't explain almost every D Lineman numbers going up accept for spears. Now where am i saying OMG our DE's need to be like Kapman and KGB however can't we at least give 5 from each i don't think that is setting the bar to high.

So your right me call him trash is a lil off basis but i expected me from a 1st round pick out of LSU and basically where aren't getting enough out of him.

I take it that you're buying his "reformed" act, and that you think he'll stay out of jail for the next three or four years?

I'm not sold...I'm not against the signing, but I'll reserve my judgment for a year or so.

Just think about it... if this works... then any player on any team that wasnts out can just go to strip club and shoot it up and slap a few biotches and hoes and become Dallas Cowboys.

Its pretty ingenious on the players parts :lmao2:

Getting Pacman Jones is like having three first round draft picks this year.

Honestly getting him puts us in the position to perfect our team. There really aren't many holes after we get Jones. I think the only thing we'd really have to do is cement our defensive line on top of getting some offensive talent. We probably should replace Spears.
than their's no reason not to get Dmac with your thinking:)

I still believe 5 is a viable mark that can be obtained. Also the Chargers team lost Wade Phillips and their numbers went down at almost every position in their front 7

Since your being stat man mind throwing out the amount of tackles each fo these players had.
