C'mon, you can't be serious.

Until he actually proves that he won't cough up the football... and I mean for a prolonged period of time, not just string a few quarters together. Tony Romo is a turnover waiting to happen. And Romo has never played well against the Giants without Terrell Owens, and yes, I just went there.
and you're offense has been nothing special since the loss of Plaxico. you're just barely getting by teams in September just wait till later on.

Kind of an odd statement since he has never played the giants without terrell owens till last night.

But I would say the giants are the most prepared team of any to be the best.

The giants however suffer from the same problem that Dallas does, when they become the favorite and they get big home games, they go bye bye just like Dallas. The giants are at their best in positions like last night, on the road with a week to pretend they were picked because they were a bad team or something. That is when they play sound football.

as soon as they start getting tabbed the it team, things will level off.

I still see them as the best team in the league though.

We've played two games...

We trounced the Commanders, the score was not indicative of the beating we put on them. The only TD's they scored came off of a fake FG, and against our prevent defense with 1:30 left on the clock. We picked them apart with our passing game.

And we had 427 yards of offense yesterday, Eli was lights out. I'd say our offense has been a pleasant surprise so far in that our passing game is well ahead of expectations.

Not in the slightest. We out gained you on offense by a nice chunk, we deserved to win that game yesterday.

OK, there was just about unanimous sentiment on NFL Playbook that the Giants are the best team in the NFL. Martz, Sapp--everyone agreed on this.

So let me get this straight, the Giants barely beat a team that handed them 24 points, get gashed on the ground all night and can't score a TD in the redzone, yet they are the best team in the NFL? "They beat you with their front 7"(Sapp)? I don't get it. What does that say about us?

Except for the fact that they were without a ton of key players on Defense.

They also lost Plaxico Burress.

I really believe this "handed them" and "gave them the game" business is very dangerous and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the players in the lockerroom buy into this nonesense, since their Head Coach is so good at declaring Moral Victories.

We didn't hand the Giants anything. They beat us and fans and players need to understand that.

Did you see the way Eli commanded the team? With 4 seconds left, Eli was on his back and took a timeout, letting the clock dip to 4 seconds, and saying I got this, and takes the time out.

Wow. Thank you Tom Jackson.

Except for the fact that this current group of players have never rallied around anything in their Cowboys lives.

Seriously, you would think this defense would be playing lights out to help their Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator keep his job, but that isn't happen.

The Giants and alot of successful teams get a chip on their shoulders, feel disrespected and actually do something about it.

Right now, the Cowboys have absolutely noone to rally around them.

Terrell Owens had alot of fire in him, but most of it was negative and harmful to the team.

Would have loved to see Ray Lewis dawning the star and putting this defense over the top.

But the way Wade Phillips is coaching, we could have gotten the entire Ravens team and still gotten mediocrity.

Disagree on the Giants being the best team in the NFL right now. They had difficulty beating a Commanders team who should end the Jason Campbell experiment. That game was a lot closer than it looked if you know what you're looking at. Then they won a game where we emptied our gun into our feet and still had a chance to win. Giants still have difficulty in the red zone, have some injuries in the secondary that will last most of the year but are about to hit a cream puff stretch in their schedule so it will appear that they are the best. I think they'll be exposed at some point. Especially when a team figures out that all 3rd down plays go to Steve Smith.

Have we seriously just de-evolved to the point where we now state calling timeouts while on your back is clutch?

I quit.

After two weeks it's early to call anyone the best team in the NFL, but what the Giants accomplished last night was nothing short of brilliant. This is a badly beat up team right now missing a ton of outstanding talent, not to mention the fact that we lost Justin Tuck during the second quarter.

The Cowboys should have won yesterday, they had everything going for them. They were largely healthy, playing at home, in a brand new stadium with over 100,000 screaming fans for support and they still **** the bed. The next time the Cowboys meet the Giants the odds may not be stacked as favorably for the boys.

And the Giants will make the necessary adjustments, don't expect another 250 yards on the ground.
yet the ball was bouncing your way.

the Manningham td

the int off wittens foot

the tipped pass that still fell right into Mario's hands on that 3rd down completion on the final drive.

the only thing we did good was stop the run and run the ball on offense and you guys won on a last second fg. you really think we're gonna play that bad next time?

Agree Sportsbabe, I never would have admitted this before but right now Eli is the better QB...and it kills me to say that. Romo has this year to prove himself...he is unfortunately running out of time.

you know, Romo would look a lot better if Jason Garrett utilized the running game as the primary weapon. The Giants are a running team first and foremost. Eli rarely takes long shots down the field as much as Romo. The Giants use the running game to control the game and try to pull it out in the end, especially against good teams. I believe Romo would be much better off if he was asked to do about as much as the Giants ask of Eli. By the time Eli gets in rhythm, they've used Jacobs and Bradshaw to soften the defense. I guess what i'm trying to say is, Eli isn't too much better than Romo.

It was my understanding that they were missing a ton of players. I don't know for sure.

The only fluke was the Witten interception. And with that the ball was still on the 30 yard line. Manning threw a beautiful ball to Manningham which he should have caught cleanly to begin with off of your best corner. And the tipped pass wasn't even a drive killer, we still had another down. Just stop with the excuses already.

The fact is last night was a game the Cowboys had no excuse losing, this was a beat up Giants team that showed its clutchness winning a game any way it could take it. And by anyway they could take it I mean torching your secondary, and playing pitch and catch with Romo.

Are you a big "boned" white chick?

Cuz that's all I am getting out of your posts thus far. That, and you are a Giants fan.

"Beware of Cowboys bearing Gifts."

The Giants got the crap beat out of them last night. They weren't in the least impressive. If I were a Giant fan I'd be putting a bag over my head. And just so there's no misunderstanding, and in the interest of fair play, all Cowboy fans should have bags over their head today, as well.

Giants need to thank the following for their worthless achievement. Jason, 'I coached like an idiot in the third and fourth quarter's Garrett, Tony Romo, O. Scandrick, Ken Hamlin, Flo Adams, T. Newman, Wade, 'I coach like a wussy' Phillips, and Jerry 'I can't own a team without meddling, without distracting promotions, without creating a circus atmosphere, without building a stadium that outshines the team in, grit, glamour, power and worth', Jones.

As it stands now, the NFC East looks like a bunch of clunkers.
