Apparently Dak walks on water around here. We'll soon find out who relied on the other more.

Personally, I can't see Dak being able to take advantage of a poor secondary, but this is just my opinion.
Come on. Even if you despise Dak, it’s ridiculous to state that he can’t play well against a “poor secondary”.

Well with KM gone there’s at least a chance of us trying to exploit another teams weakness instead of the ole we do what we do regardless method JG&KM rolled out the last decade
Kellen didn't tell Dak to throw it to the tight ends all the time.

Coordinators can only call plays. Quarterbacks decide whether or not to run that play and where to throw the football.

The reason there are two rookies is because they played well and won the jobs in the preseason.

They are suspect because it has yet to be proven of they can do it in the regular season.

Banks was their 1st round pick who they traded up for. So he has lived up to his billing.

Hawkins is the surprise. Won the job as a 7th round pick. He is their Daron Bland.
Who did they beat out?
They don't have anybody.
The only other CBs listed on their depth chart are CorDale Flott & Darnay Holmes.

Meh….I’ve seen this team get shut down by the Pete Hunters of the world straight off the couch. It’s all about the day and matchups

The giants defensive front 4 is the one thing that can negate their suspect secondary.

As usual the trenches decide everything

I think that is the big advantage that any team has going into the game. CeeDee, Cooks, Gallup, and Tolbert vs an average Adoree Jackson and two rookies. It is important that we run the ball to make the safeties come up.
This is backwards. They have a pretty good front 7 that will be far harder to run on than pass. Throw first, back the safeties up, and then run to numbers advatnages.

This is true for every game, really, but especially against a team with such a weak secondary.

Last year we faced them with 4 scrub DBs.
3 of them had never even practiced with the team before we played them.
What tore us up in that game? Giants defensive line with Dak under pressure.
We need 200 yds on the ground.

What are you talking about? Throwing the ball is what won that game. They had a couple of fluky INTs, but forcing the run is what allowed the Giants to keep it competitive.

Dallas had 15 runs of 2 yards or less and, if not for a missed FG, would have had an 18-point lead with less than 2:00 to play.

It was a blowout because Dallas could throw the ball.

Their defensive coordinator is excellent. He is going to protect the corners. You are going to have to run the ball to to get the safeties to move up. Blitzing Dak is suicidal for a defense.

That is the exact opposite of what Martindale does. He likes to blitz and leave them on islands.
Exactly.

They can generate pass rush with Kayvon, Williams, Boogie, Simmons and Ojulari.

They can stuff the run with Lawrence, Williams, Robinson and Davidson.

They improved at linebacker when they signed Okereke.

They do have decent safety play with McKinney and McCain.

Banks will be a shut down guy. But will be prone to growing pains the same as Hawkins.

We need to have our guys win their 1 on 1s and we should get out of their with a win.

We rushed for 170 yds. Threw for a whopping 260yds with 2 picks.
ZEKE averaged over 5ypc.

Did you watch the Thanksgiving game. He protects the corners. Dak threw interceptions because he would fake the blitzes. Blitzing is the last thing you do against Dak.

You're 100% correct, I don't even think the 2nd heaviest blitz team was even close to the Giants. I'll be interested to see if Wink can restrain himself from sending the house every week this year. Thibideoux in year two with Ojulari are decent Edge rushers then Lawrence/Williams combined for 13 sacks on the inside. In theory they should be able to get some pressure rushing just four, but then again were these guys able to reach the QB because they were 1V1 due to the blitz?

Obviously I expect a ton of blitz looks this Sunday, but how many times these guys bail out will be interesting to watch.
