Respect to a fellow brother in Arms. Many of my friends are from your dad's generation. I go to groups (well, a single combat group. I don't do the other nonsense groups at the VA, but that's neither here nor there) with them every week. There was a Purple Heart group (combat wounded) with a lot of great friends of mine in it, but the group was too small so they stopped/discontinued it.

Still, my combat group is my home. Mad respect to your Pops, PA

And I hear you on the Deadskin part! :star:
Good stuff by all the peeps here! Patriotism is not political although many people confuse the two. All peeps can be patriots: liberals, conservatives, blacks, whites, and all the colors in between! Young, old, notherners, southerners!
Nice. Talk about good people.

Yep. Worse for the NFL. He put on the 49'ers uniform and used the NFL's considerable stage to do it. That was his downfall. No player has the right to do that. If he wanted to make some statement he should have put on a suit and tie and called a news conference as a citizen and said his piece!
Exactly!
Also go on talk shows.
He isn't too bright that's why he was not
Better as a QB.
He has the physical ability.

Yes, people are afraid to be too vocal about these official FBI facts.

But its kind of derailing the thread.

There is NO doubt that there are bad cops. There are racist cops too. Just as there are racist people from all races. There are bad people in every profession.

But I strongly believe the overwhelmingly vast majority of cops ...a HUGE percentage...are just trying to do their very dangerous and critcal jobs as best they can.

Thats where Kaep wearing socks with police pigs on them was so out of line and destructive.

I agree, it is derailing the thread. Especially considering the inaccuracy of the graphic. Roughly two thirds of the police departments in this country do not give data to the FBI (https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u....rce-pages/message-from-director#disablemobile), yet we still get these graphics claiming to have accurate statistics on the whole nation. It's intentionally misleading.

i don't think the cowboys want to sign him I don't think any team will sign him I think he is done as far as the nfl is concerned he will probably have to find another line of work
You're probably correct. He brought attention to himself which is what he wanted. BUT, was it wise for his future as an NFL player. Absolutely not.
