wrong forum
The reason for that was his $20 mil per year cap hit. Teams aren’t going to give up much if they have to take on a contract like that. It’s a numbers game.I know we need to take salary into consideration but it's amazing what the Eagles got for the bust Reagor and what the Giants got for the bust Toney whereas we got a bag of balls and and a half-eaten sandwich for you know who.
Seems like a replacement for Tyreek Hill. Guess them miss him.A lot to pay for a former 1st round WR that has not shown anything since his 2021 season (and not much then either).
Hardman has been tearing it up lately as well, guess you can't ever have too much talent when you have a Mahomes. The Chiefs soured on Skyy Moore fast. This isn't the type of move you make if you have confidence in your rookie second round WR.
For reference, Cowboys were at 10 in 2021 draft, giants at 11, eagles at 12.
Giants wanted Devonta Smith. Eagles traded with Dallas to move up ahead of NYG and get DeVonta smith. Dallas moved back and got Micah. Giants traded out of 11 and picked up Toney instead. Didn’t even last 25 games with the team.
Right forum. Moves made by divisional rivals are newsworthy to the Cowboys.
You guys always whining about this stuff is hilarious.
we have guy who can be like him.. Turpin yet Moores not creative enough, better get slow lumbering vet because Moore can just have it thrown up to him LOL Gallup cant get targets and our fans want a WR at the trade deadline..lmao.If we are looking at WRs, this is probably the starting point for cost. Players like Cooks and Moore are more accomplished than Toney, so they are probably going to cost more ... unless their teams are primarily trying to unload their salaries.
And again, the rich get richer.
All while we go and get a guy who has a grand total of 1 tackle on the season and try to play it up like we got an all-pro.
The NFC is ripe for the taking, and Cap Boy Jones is too damn frugal to make a run.
Mahommes will turn him into a pro bowl receiver and maybe an all-pro.
Yeah, I was confused too. They are so stacked at WR they can trade one, lol - don't remember them being so great in that department against us. WeirdGiants traded away a WR instead of traded for one? lol
Toney is so overrated. You have a big game against the Cowboys and you are suddenly a star.
Same here.I know the Giants wouldn't have traded him here without it being a lopsided deal but I would have been interested in this.
