I know two things. He was a hell of a playmaker at FL but has failed to show that in the NFL so far and two, most of these personnel guys know more than I do.

When the pass happiest HC in the NFL with a gunslinger at QB makes a trade like that, sure makes me wonder.

I know we need to take salary into consideration but it's amazing what the Eagles got for the bust Reagor and what the Giants got for the bust Toney whereas we got a bag of balls and and a half-eaten sandwich for you know who.
The reason for that was his $20 mil per year cap hit. Teams aren’t going to give up much if they have to take on a contract like that. It’s a numbers game.

The Chiefs soured on Skyy Moore fast. This isn't the type of move you make if you have confidence in your rookie second round WR.
Hardman has been tearing it up lately as well, guess you can't ever have too much talent when you have a Mahomes.

For reference, Cowboys were at 10 in 2021 draft, giants at 11, eagles at 12.

Giants wanted Devonta Smith. Eagles traded with Dallas to move up ahead of NYG and get DeVonta smith. Dallas moved back and got Micah. Giants traded out of 11 and picked up Toney instead. Didn’t even last 25 games with the team.

well to be fair they got an additional first round pick out of the deal, which wound up being 7th overall along with another two picks

i just don’t even want to imagine the alternate universe wheee Micah is on the Eagles from a pick we traded them

The guy had one great half vs Dallas and basically nothing else in his 1.5 years career. BTW you got the full Toney experience that game as he was ejected in the 4th quarter. The Giants were smart in admitting a mistake here and acquiring the 3rd round pick for a complete bust.

Nice move for a team like the Chiefs. Would be a disaster in an environment like we have.

Right forum. Moves made by divisional rivals are newsworthy to the Cowboys.

You guys always whining about this stuff is hilarious.

I guess we have a different view of relevant cowboys news. We are going to sweep the giants this year. Them getting rid of a receiver and sending him to the afc is not newsworthy. We do not even play the chiefs in the regular season.

And again, the rich get richer.

All while we go and get a guy who has a grand total of 1 tackle on the season and try to play it up like we got an all-pro.

The NFC is ripe for the taking, and Cap Boy Jones is too damn frugal to make a run.

If we are looking at WRs, this is probably the starting point for cost. Players like Cooks and Moore are more accomplished than Toney, so they are probably going to cost more ... unless their teams are primarily trying to unload their salaries.
we have guy who can be like him.. Turpin yet Moores not creative enough, better get slow lumbering vet because Moore can just have it thrown up to him LOL Gallup cant get targets and our fans want a WR at the trade deadline..lmao.

Whether they add help at WR or not, I think the cowboys are going to make a run

Interesting. So the chiefs who have no issues scoring trade for a WR but the cowboys aren't really interested in aquiring any WR help.
