Twitter: Giants trade WR Kadarius Toney to Chiefs

Yeah, I was confused too. They are so stacked at WR they can trade one, lol - don't remember them being so great in that department against us. Weird

Apparently some of those stacked WRs are not pulling it like the Chiefs want. ..for instance.maybe they want more outta of Marquez Valdes-Scantlin

Good pickup for Chiefs. Toney was a 1st round pick last year had 39 catched in 10 games. Chiefs get a talent for a possible 3rd.

well to be fair they got an additional first round pick out of the deal, which wound up being 7th overall along with another two picks

i just don’t even want to imagine the alternate universe wheee Micah is on the Eagles from a pick we traded them

you wouldnt have to, we never take LBers round 1

I think the problem with Toney is he is always injured. He missed 7 games last year and 5 already this year. I also think he is a headcase, but that's based only on the fight he got into with the Cowboys his rookie season.

we have guy who can be like him.. Turpin yet Moores not creative enough, better get slow lumbering vet because Moore can just have it thrown up to him LOL Gallup cant get targets and our fans want a WR at the trade deadline..lmao.

Great coaches like Jimmy Johnson and Bill Parcells have told us in the past that talent is more important than coaching. Turpie may can be like Cooks, but right now, the evidence we have is that Cooks can put up 1,000-yard seasons and 90 catches in a year. Maybe Moore could do more with what we've got, but the more talent you've got, the easier it is to do something with it.

I just want to win. If a talented veteran receiver helps us accomplish that, I'm all for bringing one in. There's no guarantee that it would help, but it certainly can't hurt our goal to get a Super Bowl victory. Now, which talented receiver would help us the most is something for the talent evaluators to determine.

And I don't just feel that way about WR. If you've got a team that looks like it is going to at least be in the playoff conversation, why not try to do a few things to give it a better chance? We've mainly got young, homegrown talent on this team. Nothing wrong with supplementing it with a few outside players. Yes, there's a price, and that's always the concern, but considering the Super Bowl winners we've seen over the past few years have all paid that price, it's foolish to think we can do it without paying the price.

I get KC trading for him, just don't get why the Giants are trading a guy like that away considering their record. Figured they would be adding to their roster, not subtracting. They seem to have the running part of the offense covered with Barkley and the QB Jones. I figured they would want to improve the receiving part, not subtract from it. Surprising

Only 2 catches this season...

True - but its been injuries. When he gets healthy a first round draft pick like him would certainly improve the passing game - which is their weakest area on offense, and something I would assume they would like to do. Just thought it an odd move for a team who right now would be in the playoffs to make.

Great trade for the Chiefs. They got a Tyreek clone on the cheap.

A.3rd for a player a player the Giants didn't want seems like a big risk for KC.

He complained about the 2021 offensive scheme.

Skipped a voluntary minicamp this year.

Complained to the media after game 1 this year because he barely played.

Oh, ok- so they were getting rid of a headache? Gotcha - that makes it make sense then. Thanks. Just was surprising to read.

they are statistically better passing team this year compared to last year. PPG, passing yards per game and yards per completion and attempt better than last year. Rushing for less yards this year too.

Kid had/has the talent to be a very good reciever but injuries have derailed most of his career. Plus seems to be a major head case

It's a risk by the Chiefs unless they have a coach on staff that coached him in college.

For the Giants to basically bench then trade away pick #20 from the 2021 draft, something is a big problem with the player.
