Name another 4-3 DE his size.

If you want to argue that we should be running a 3-4 because pass rushing OLBs are easier to find than 4-3 DEs, I'm with you, but arguing we should have drafted Watt for our current defense won't fly.

I agree.

It's like having Clay Matthews and telling him to stick his hand in the dirt for 3 downs... What's the point?

Jason Taylor who was just inducted to HOF played at that weight in 4-3. How did that turn out? I think we need to stop typecasting players and just draft them on their ability to get to QB.

I agree. The Cowboys had Watt rated almost as high as Charlton and went with the guy that they thought could carry more weight and stuff the run better. I understand your point but it's a bit early to start predicting these guys' careers.

Remember when people used to debate that Shawn Merriman was the better pick than Ware early in their career?

Lol-- good times

I'd like to see juuuuuust a few more snaps before rendering a judgment on whether TJ Watt was the better pick than Taco

Okay I'll say it, why didn't we draft Watt?
Because we don't run a 3-4 like the steelers. The guy is a speed guy and doesn't show the power and size to stop the run.

I believe the eagles rookie DE had 2 sacks last night?

Too early to really tell but Watt looks like a monster to me....we might regret that pick.

So he can't add 10 to 15 lbs?
