Gibbs rumor train heating up

Rumors should be heating up around Gibbs because he's one of the few players at 26 who can give this offense what it needs. It doesn't matter his position, he's a Playmaker and the Cowboys need them regardless of position.

Hi highlights are electric. My question is if there really is a large difference between him and someone like Deuce Vaughn? Sure Vaughn is a munchkin but would their stats be pretty similar if you put him on Alabama this year?
Yes, there's pretty much a chasm between the two.
No, their stats would not have been similar.

I can see the Chargers taking Gibbs at 21. If he makes it past them, I think he'll be there for us at 26.

So by waiting 6 picks and getting Gibbs with the first pick of the second round, it would be a great pick… but if he’s drafted 6 spots higher at 26, it is a bad pick?

No, I don’t agree with that. He’d be a great pick at 26 because of all he can do and because of what Dallas needs on offense. Plus, there would be a 5th year option to have an extra low cost season.

If we were talking about the 6th overall pick, I would agree that he shouldn’t be the pick. But the 26th? And with him being the by far biggest offensive playmaker still on the board… I absolutely add Gibbs to the team and have the most explosive backfield in football. Have two of the best pass catching RB’s in the league.

There would be a ton of ways to use him and, IMO, nobody else would do as much to help make the offense explosive.

I’m not leaving him on the board to take Mayer at TE or Avila at OG. No.

The only guys I might take ahead of him would be an edge like McDonald or Smith, or a corner that I really like (Forbes) that falls to 26. And frankly, I might would take Gibbs over them as well.

No, I am all for bringing him in if he’s still there.

Not really…just the size difference. Gibbs is a better prospect sure but Duece out produced him behind a worse OL.

I also find it a little odd Gibbs has never rushed for 1000 yards. Duece has back to back 1400+ yard seasons.

Gibbs is a much better player regardless of what you are looking at. He will go over 100 picks higher in the draft.

He probably will. Which makes it even more odd he never rushed for over 1K yards.

I know there will be a heated discussion about Gibbs but I’m all for it I think Gibson is a serious talent. The idea of not taking a running bag very talented running bag at the end of the first round because it’s identified as first round it’s sort of funny to me

I'd be cool with Gibbs if Mayer/Kinkaid/JSN are gone (or we don't clear Kinkaid's back). I'm definitely not completely locked into a skill position in the 1st I just think it seems to be lining up with BPA and need for us.

Solid player, but poor positional value in the 1st for a 199 LB RB that might be a complimentary player more so than bell cow.
RB 20-30 touches a game and this team has a long history of success with a top running back/game and bad success with a poor one, not sure why people don’t understand this

I’m not sure what you’re trying to say here but Gibbs isn’t a 20-30 touch a game type of player so not sure he applies. Even if he was still awful value for how cheap RBs are.

Ok lol. Why couldn’t he touch it 20-30 but pollard could? Cause he’s one pound short of 200? Lol, he’s also 5’8” tall so his weight is more compact. Same size as emmitt when he came into the league

I never said Pollard could or that I want him too. I prefer Pollard splitting the load. The bell cow RB is borderline non existent in todays NFL.

Emmits playing weight was also almost 25 pounds heavier…
