I thought about starting another thread, but this is relevant enough to this one, I guess.

In his PC today, Gibbs was attempting to call out some good things about the team. He subsequently cited their - quote - "Excellent" two-minute drive at the end of the game.

Let me tell you, Smokin Al on Sportstalk 980 ripped him a new one. Basically called him a pathetic enabler, who was encouraging his team to excuse their poor play, by excusing their penalties, and coddling them when they tell him the refs make the right call. You don't see any other coach in the league *****ing like this. Parcells, when asked about the obvious offensive PI on Henry vs JAX, merely said "I think the officials did a fine job."

Gibbs wouldn't know good sportsmanship and "being a man about it" if it smacked him in the face and said "Listen, crybaby! I'm Good-Sportsmanship. Don't you knwo who I am?!?!?!?!"

lol, thanks for the props guys. I've been wanting to figure out how to make animated gifs for a while, Gibbs provided the right motivation for me to get off my butt and do it.

They probably have a special file for Gibbs' weekly mailings.

He was probably already on his laptop on the plane ride home, pecking out a letter.

Laptop? This is a guy who talks about "tapes" all the time. I suspect he used a typewriter or plans on sending a telegraph to the league office. ;)

Adam, a little OT, but can you verify whether or not Ware has or hasn't lined up as a DE in our nickel Defense this year? Has he lined up as a LB in our nickel at all this year?

As far as I know, he's been a DE in our nickel D every time we've put our nickel D on the field. But you've got all this on tape so you'd know better then I do (I stopped recording games cuz they kept losing when I did it. I'm a little superstitious).

Rack, I charted the Skins game last night and you were right on the Skins game of where Ware lined up. In the Jags game the nickel predominantly had Ellis, Ratliff, Spears/Canty, and Hatcher from left to right defensive end. Ware would play OLB, usually standing up alongside Ellis who was in a 3 point stance.

In the Skins game, the D-Line in the nickel usually went Ellis, Hatcher, Ratliff, and Ware. The LB's would switch off between Carpenter, Burnett, and James.

So, you were right on the Skins game. But I re-watched the Jags game again and Ware did play LB in the nickel.
