Ginn and Stanton, 1 & 2?

The Ginn pick alone makes this a fantastic mock.:D

If Ginn played for Michigan you'd be totally against picking him which makes your opinion in the matter moot.

Elaborate and someone might take your opinion seriously.

Sorry the "Hell No" means I don't want Ginn with our first round pick.

And the "No Way" means I don't want Stanton with our second round pick.

Sorry, didn't realize it needed explaining. I figured a ******** fetus could figure it out.

Even a ******** fetus could explain something beyond the affirmative or the negative.

I am sorry, I was thinking you were above that.

Obviously I was mistaken.

A great player is a great player no matter who he plays for.

We are going to draft players that don't play for Ohio St and I will love them just the same.

Obviously if you had seen the poll from yesterday...you will see there are alot of People who want us to draft Ginn and they aren't all Buckeye fans...They just recognize talent when they see it.

View Poll Results: Who is your 1st round pick?

I wondered about that - I didn't recall Ginn being injured a lot. I thought maybe there was something further back in the past I wasn't aware of (I couldn't risk misspeaking again though, could I?).

Well, he was injured that one time in 2005 at The Ohio State University when he accidentally bruised his big toe punting a stray Jack Russell Terrier across the football field....

He will not last until the 4th or 5th round.

I really get amused when I see posters like you saying "I'd like this player" and then just name your round.

Obviously, you don't have a clue about his status or you wouldn't even bother thinking he would be available in the "4th or 5th round".

I might as well wish for Calvin Johnson to drop to 22.

Ridiculous.

He's supposed to go 2-3. I think he will go in the last half of the second. Someone is going to want him and fear he won't drop to them. He has to have more than one club wanting him. I think someone will make a trade to move up and grab him. Or arrange for a club to take him then trade for his rights. He'd be a great player for us to develop. Even if he never plays for us he should be great trade material. You're right. I'll buy drinks for everyone if he drops into the fourth round.

Just read a newer mock draft on ProfootballTalk.com that has us taking Ginn at 22 and Drew Stanton, QB, at 53.

At first I thought Ginn could go there in Rd 1, but Stanton at 53? Is he even in the top 53 rated players? Well, on some lists he is actually right in that mix of players rated between 50th and 60th or so of the top 100.

How would you like to see a QB to Dallas in Rd 2, Stanton or otherwise?

I would throw up my chicken wings from Sticky Fingers that I had been eating for 3 hours on Saturday if they took Ginn in the 1st much less a QB in the 2nd.

You being mistaken seems to be a problem with you.

You might as well put "Sorry, I was mistaken" in your sig.

And be not wanting Ginn or Stanton (does THAT one really need explaining?) doesn't require any explanation. I've already explained why I don't want Ginn previously, I'm not gonna repeat it like a broken record in every new thread.

Ginn's the pick.:D

If we take a QB on day 1, Jerry Jones will need to seek federal aid for at least 6 months

I do not see any harm in covering your bases.

That is, unless you are convinced about Romo.

That is the key.

I haven't followed your every thought, so yes, I think it does require explanation.

But apparently, you lack the ability to do so here. Or repeat it again for those who haven't bothered to note your opinion. Either way.

You'd just rather squash the thought.

That is understandable since you are apparently lazy.

Or lack the ability to defend your extreme opinion.

I am more convinced of Romo than say, Bradie James, or the offensive line, or Chris Canty, or Marcus Spears, or Ken Hamlin, etc.

We have more pressing needs

Are you sure about this?

Couldn't you just refer me to posts that you have made previously about it?

I mean why bother?

I agree on some points, but Romo still needs to be kept on his toes.

I realize he is "the man" and is now rubbing elbows with the best, but if I were running this team, I would have him scared for his job.

A loose cannon is not someone you want feeling secure.

Brett Favre never got that treatment.

Since that is his hero and a player he identifies with, I would replicate the treatment and see how he responds.

does anyone seriously think Dallas is going to give any rookie QB the necessary snaps in practice for him to develop properly? if you take a QB as high as the 2nd round, you better be devoting some serious attention to him, which means taking snaps away from Romo, and I'm not all sure that would be the best for Romo's own development

Lazy? YOu got that right, Chico.

ANd my opinion isn't extreme at all. Ginn isn't and never will be a #1 WR. He'll excel as a slot WR and be a decent return man, but he won't be a great WR. I think there are other WRs that will be better then Ginn ever will be. That said, I don't want us to take a WR in the first (although I wouldn't cry if we took Meachem or Bowe). I'm not really sure who I want us to take, but I know I DON'T want Ginn.

As for Stanton, I like the player, but not in the 2nd. I'd take him in the 3rd though.

Bob Sacamano;1469038 said:
if that's not extreme, I don't know what is

It really isn't. What has Ginn ever done to make people think he can be a #1 WR? That's not even close to being extreme. I think he'd be a very good 3rd WR/Return man, but I wouldn't want us to spend a 1st on a role player (that won't develop into a good starter).

I'd sooner take Troy Williamson (even if he somehow were to go back into the draft) at 22 before I'd take Ginn. And Williamson is obviously a bust.
