Ginn and Stanton, 1 & 2?

there is no real injury history, just an injury risk since Ginn is so slight, 6' 178 is rail-thin, it's not like Steve Smith being 185 and 5'9"

He's no more a risk than Adrian Peterson...who runs upright...and has an actual history of injury problems.

If the case could be made Ginn will be facing stronger opponents week in week out and be subjected to more brutality, the same can be said about Peterson.

Eric Metcalf lasted for years...mainly because it was always said it was much harder to get a clean hard shot on a smaller, elusive, quick player. No reason to think any differently here.

Well, he was injured that one time in 2005 at The Ohio State University when he accidentally bruised his big toe punting a stray Jack Russell Terrier across the football field....

Just admit you had no basis on saying he has an injury history, and had no idea what you were talking about.

Anything other than that is making you look even more foolish....if that's possible I mean.

It really isn't. What has Ginn ever done to make people think he can be a #1 WR? That's not even close to being extreme. I think he'd be a very good 3rd WR/Return man, but I wouldn't want us to spend a 1st on a role player (that won't develop into a good starter).

I'd sooner take Troy Williamson (even if he somehow were to go back into the draft) at 22 before I'd take Ginn. And Williamson is obviously a bust.

You ever see what Ginn was doing "as a receiver" in big time college games?

I think Ginn is overrated meself, but saying how a player will turn out or not absolutely is pretty extreme, well at least I think it is

It's about projecting what he'll do in the pros. What he did in college is irrelevant. Desmond Howard tore it up in college too.

ok...... when you say this..

just what exactly are you basing your opinion off of then?

He still hasn't done anything to show he can be a good #1 WR in the pros. Most of his big plays are off "gimmick" plays or long bombs. Troy Williamson did pretty good in college with those plays too.

Oh, so now it is about you, is it?

Of course not... don't be silly, it's all about me...

Always has been, always will be... get used to it... :D

I haven't followed your every thought, so yes, I think it does require explanation.

But apparently, you lack the ability to do so here. Or repeat it again for those who haven't bothered to note your opinion. Either way.

You'd just rather squash the thought.

That is understandable since you are apparently lazy.

Or lack the ability to defend your extreme opinion.

You really need to knock it off, Alex, Rack is the sensitive sort... we don't want you to send him into a deep depression, make him crawl into his shell...

Some people just lack your natural assertiveness, and should be treated with gentle care... please don't abuse our resident delicate flower...

Failing that, you might want to take care that your dental records are current, so that we might have some hope of identifying the remains...

You wish. :D

I'm the only ******* here who's hardcore enough to hang with your arse! :yourock:

Alright sure buddy.

Arguing with the Ginn haters seems pointless. Not even gonna bother anymore.

SLIDE PETERSON SLIDE.

I'm not a Ginn hater. Not in the least. I'm a Ginn realist.

And I agree about Peterson, him sliding and us taking him might be the only player that the majority of cowboys fans can agree on, although I don't think he'll have a long career (unless he splits carries throughout his career). His injury proneness and upright running style are a recipe for injuries.

My mind changes by the minute regarding our draft but as of right now my top 2 prospects are Harrell and Merriweather (we need some of that Miami swagger in our defense).

Speak for yourself canine. The fact is the player did suffer an injury thus giving him an injury history. You're confusing injury history with injury prone which I did not say.

Get the fleas, I mean facts, straight.

ALMOST... :D

Of course, my admonition to Alexander was entirely tongue in cheek...

Saying you are concerned with a player's injury history is implying he has had a career checkered with injury problems. Everyone knows that, quit trying to squirm out of your baseless, uninformed opinion.

Well then you had a hand it in too...because you were all over him a few short months ago, not long before you pronounced you'd leave the board for a month if he ran less than a 4.45.

Alexander;1468606 said:
I would take that draft.

I agree Al. If our board has Ginn as the WR rated at 22 and Stanton as the Best Player at 53, then I'm fine with it. It's not as if either player is not talented. IMO, it's never a bad thing to draft to your board.

Okay Yogi Cuda, since you have access to my mind then maybe you have access to Jerry's? Who is he going to pick?

Seriously, your bone :D for Ginn is well known so it's obvious that you're taking the anti-Ginn comments personally.

Let me state, once again for the record, that I liked the possibility of Ginn and Stanton at 1 and 2. Now you can go back to chasing your tail....

Ginn's the pick.:D

Man, I hope your wrong, but if he has a star on his helmet on SATURDAY I will be pulling for him. Just a question......Would you be looking at Ginn the same way if he went to Purdue?
