Give me Showers!

Weeden cant play dead and Vaughn has lead feet and zero pocket awareness.

Agreed but no way can Showers be the primary backup. Looks like they are stuck with Weeden. Showers to the PS and Vaughn to the back of the restaurant.

Showers won't clear waivers. Romo sat on the bench until his 3rd season in the league. Nobody expected him to be the next Aikman off the bat. Showers isn't Romo, but he's shown enough potential that I think he's worth keeping.

Still think Weeden gives us our best chance of all 3. He's not good but the protection was awful tonight.

I like Showers for the PS,he has bad accuracy right now but his other attributes are above average for a NFL QB and could be worked on .the Vaghan experiment is over though.

Showers is not clearing waivers. You heard it here first.

Vaughan, on the other hand, would make it through waivers.

I like Showers he showed poise under duress and has some wiggle.

Vaughn looked flustered and a bit out of control when he knew the rushers were coming.

We know what we have with Weeden. We need to give showers more playing time to see what we have in him. More than anything, it may prove time to stop playing around at the qb position and look in the draft for a successor.

All backup quarterbacks suck. It's a dumb topic to debate.

Tony "UDFA" Romo and Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers and the dude who was bagging groceries in Iowa and was the greatest show on turf, yeah you know who he is, and Doug Williams.......they don't all suck. Most do, yes, BUT Dallas hasn't placed a high priority to the position yet. First things first for a team who needed major help at every position but QB......for now. I'd be willing to wager it will be the number one priority for the next draft and beyond.

That was posted last week by @arglebargle. I would love to see them give Showers some reps at RB and HB and let him be a Slash type and 3rd QB this year. That would be entertaining.

Ha! I always check the training camp first team ST roster. Those are the guys the coaches want to keep. Trying to find versatile roles for them. Showers showed some smarts going out for special teams. I think his floor now is the practice squad. And he might make the 53. Maybe....
