I wish I could do that. But until we beat NO, Philly and Chi I just can't put us up that high.

I have confidence Wade will get the D hitting on all cylinders .

Sorry Hos, but IMO there is no good argue ment to be made for Dallas being a top 5 team. We can't score 45 point sagainst real NFL defenses, and we will face much better offenses than the one we saw in New York. Unless we shore up the defense, we won't be making the postseason

And what good reason do you have for putting Pit and the Bengals in this list? If the Ravens had washed the butter off their fingers, Cincy would have a goose egg in the win column. The Ravens dominated the Bengals. As long as Pit has Ben Crapfilledburger at QB, they will suck too. As I've always said, your o-line can make a schlep of a QB look good. Pit's o-line isn't what it used to be. Using the Browns as a measuring-stick is unacceptable.

They're still Houston, and they beat Kansas City

Anyone who puts stock in preseason shouldnt be watching football

I wonder if Houston moves outta the bottom 5 this week

And you can bet that the Bengals are no longer in the top 5 either.

Who'd have guessed they'd get gassed by the Browns? (Not me).

I see HH was caught running his mouth yet again. I believe he said Dallas was NOT a contender either.

How I'd adjust both my categories for now. Neither MNF team would be in either list.

Top Five...

1. Colts. Still haven't lost and are the champs.

2. Patriots. Looking very good.

3. Cowboys. Scoring in bunches, defense will improve when healthy.

4. Steelers. Wow what a defense.

5. Denver. Can't choose Detroit, Green Bay or Frisco. Or Washington who will lose.

Bottom Five...

32. Falcons. Brian Brohm.

31. Chiefs. Pathetic.

30. Dolphins. I think they will fade even more.

29. Raiders. Finding ways to lose.

28. Rams. Shocking how bad.

Of course they do

Forgive me for not being impressed by a home win over maybe the worst team in football

If Norv was still there they would get this. They definitely suffer from his loss.

But their defense is good.

We arent, not with our current defense. Have you watched the Colts, Patriots, Steelers, etc.? We simply cannot compete with those teams on a consistant basis yet.

The Bengals looked good last week, not so much anymore. Most D-1 teams could hold the Browns under 51 points (except maybe Louisville)

Pittsburgh, especially their defense, just looks awesome so far

I cannot believe some of the picks I have seen.....Cleveland outdueled Cincy, who is in the top 5 of some of you, yet you have Cleveland ranked 32....doesn't make sense. Also, how can Houston be in the bottom 5, and yet dismantle a top 5 Carolina?

Top 5
1. Indy - SB Champs, still the cream of the crop until someone shows us otherwise
2. NE - potent offense, great defense, and they have all the answers thanks to cheating
3. Dallas - potent offense, defense improved from week 1 to week 2, highest scoring team in the league
4. Pittsburgh - Big Ben is back and so is the defense
5. Green Bay - I put them here simply cause they took out 2 of our division rivals for us....TY GB
6. Houston - their defense has been stellar the first two weeks, and their offense is in the top half of the league

Bottom 5
32. Kansas City - at least they have awesome BBQ in KC
31. Atlanta - nothing about this team is impressive
30. Buffalo - maybe they should have kept Clement and McGahee
29. Miami - horrible offense, lackluster defense
28. Cleveland - defense still sucks, but Anderson sure did bring life to that offense (or was it the pathetic Cincy D)

Next week should be a good litmus test for this team to see how good they really are. If they work the Bears, they should be in good shape to face the Patriots.

The Bears are rarely a good "litmus test" because of Grossman's inconsistancy. You can play terribly but still win if Grossman turns it over 5 times (as he can and often does), or you can play very well and still lose because of Hester and the defense.

Who knows which Bears team will show up, the one that demolished NO in the NFC Title game or the one that looked foolish against San Diego, who is currently getting smoked by NE.

There is no perfect team that will be a good litmus test, save maybe the pats. The Titans moved the ball on the Colts pretty well today, and they kept Manning looking good but not Godly, which is a feat.

The fact is we will see just how good our offense really is against the bears, because they have a defense that will stuff just about anyone out.

no offense but the only good litmus test for the patriots is the patriots.........nobody plays like them. nobody seems to have all the answers the way they do.

i really want them in the Super Bowl......I would love to see Dallas just drill them.....

The point is though, Arizona played an awesome football game for 50 minutes last year, but because of Hester and the defense, they still lost, despite playing very well.

Most teams are fairly consistant in their ability to either play well or suck it up, but not Chicago. They can beat an elite team one week then lose to Miami at home the next

Much of the thread was posted before the games today. Might have something to do with it huh?
