i thought he ran better when he came back in.
over all he has played much better.
he's not a problem.
he's a solution.

Zeke actually initiates contact and is extremely physical. Malcom Jenkins in 2019 said he was the best contact RB in the league,

““I’d say Ezekiel Elliott is probably the No. 1 contact back in the league right now,” Jenkins said. “He’s looking to punish guys. He’s not trying to juke you. He’ll jump over you every now and then if you keep trying to go low, but he’s fine with just punishing the defender at the end of it.”

And he got a taste of it regularly.

Nope.. the fact that there was a free runner in the backfield right when made his cut does not matter.. He's just supposed to create magic.. because of the size of his paycheck.. That's the only thing that matters.. <~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ dripping with sarcasm. The thing you notice on that play is that it starts right and at 52, 63 and 71 both get knocked back. Zack Martin was the only one who moved his man. The play starts off tackle right but because Collins lost and Biadasz was knocked back Zeke tries to cut it back and the safety is there to wrap him up before he gets going. Denver basically moved three of our linemen back 2 yards at the snap of the ball. The play was doomed from that point. The only chance we might have had for success would have been for Zeke to hit it quicker and get in behind Martin.. but it's hard to say if he could have gotten there because Biadasz is in his lap immediately. It was a sign of things to come. And really a continuation of this season. We do not have enough power players on the line so we are not nearly as good in short yardage as we should be. Denver won the line of scrimmage on that play.. and pretty much all day.

Look at this.. here is when Zeke takes the handoff. Notice where Williams, Biadasz and Collins feet are.. Almost on the 40 yard line.. The line of scrimmage as you can see it the Denver 37. So they have given up almost 3 yards by the time Zeke gets the ball.

The thing I don't like about this play is that nobody is drive blocking. We don't fire out we just stand up and slide to the right. Which would be okay if we weren't getting pushed back in the process. I can see here why Zeke cut it back because the backside guys were at least at a stalemate at the line of scrimmage.. But he fails to see the safety, who was unblocked filling. THis is also bad play design because the receiver at the top, I think it was Cooper could have just stood there next to Collins and allowed Zeke a huge lane to the outside.. Instead he goes out to get the safety. That's a good play in a regular situation but in short yardage who cares about blocking somebody 8 yards off the ball?

RonnieT24......We may have the only RB that is suppose to run inside, without blocking.

Zeke gutted it out instead of tapping out. He could have stayed on the bench, but kept playing...I know the local capologists will attack this, but I'm talking football.....I'll leave the cap and money to the FO. If any of you are willing to take a paycut or work for less than you can get, then go ahead and complain.....if not, shhhh....
I like Zekes game...he may not have much time left and the fact that he played hard in a blow out loss, while injured.....that's a football player!
He played hard and didn’t let Dak down. He tried to do work. The WR and O-Line weren’t exactly playing well..

Why are people saying he got shut down when he averaged 5.1 yards per carry yesterday? Zeke didn't get shut down, he just didn't get the ball a lot.

Fans and fake fans on here hate on players for any small reason. Some would rather see failure so they can whine and / or gloat about it.

Just look at all the Dak haters popping back up after the bad game Sunday.

he had 51 yards rushing and 5.1 YPC definitely wasn't a bad game caught few nice snags as well..when a game gets out of hand score wise the run game gets lost, they go away from it sometimes too soon..

Looks like he's been hanging out with Collins the last few weeks. Put all that weight...right back on...and is slowing down game by game. Starting to have serious doubts he even makes it through the year. Totally expecting him to take the next few weeks off...probably see him after Thanksgiving. If I'm Dallas...I start to focus on Isaiah Spiller..Texas A&M...as his replacement.

I’ll always think he’s a POS for his holdout.
emmitt wouldn't sign his rookie deal , held out of reporting to camp, held out 2 RS games.

i mean zeke didn't hold out game real games..so what ES is POS i guess. Always the highest paid RB of his era..always..

What I didn't like about it is that it was a read play.. You can tell by the way the line came off the ball and slide stepped instead of firing out. That meant that Zeke was supposed to read the hole and cut to daylight. Except what do you do when there is none? I always preferred fire off the ball plays in short yardage. Get under your man and drive him and let the RB either cut if a hole opens or join the push party if it doesn't. If they run a power play instead of a finesse play Zeke runs into the back of Martin and together they grind out the first down. But it all comes back to not having enough power blockers in the game for the situation. Steele, Williams and Biadasz are all going to lose as many as they win in mano a mano situations. And frankly it looked like Collins lost on his block too. 1 out of 5 guys won on that play.. That equals a TFL every time.
