Golic: "The Falcons are better team and they will go down to Dallas and prove it"

Don't see this posted anywhere: Today, on ESPN Radio's Mike and MIke show, Mike Golick picked the Falcons to beat Dallas. He said, and I quote "The Falcons are better team and they will go down to Dallas and prove it".

What was pathetic is that he said it so definitively. Yeah, whatever!

The Bears, who have no WRs to speak of, a sub par running game, and an an OL that often gets pushed back, had no problems moving the ball in the 4th quarter to get in position for a tie and/or win.

It was the Bears own mistakes that cost them. What I saw was a Bears team that could throw at will in the middle of the field and they don't even have a good TE. In fact, Bennett is a better receiving TE than what the Bears have and their TE (and WRs) were making plays all over the middle of the Atlanta defense.

And at the end of the game, Atlanta lost their best CB for the year. So what started out as a bad secondary for them just got 50% worse!

Sorry, but Atlanta is NOT the better team, Mr. Golick, and when they go down to Dallas, the Cowboys will prove that!

Desmond Clark

Cutler doesn't look to Olsen much, but I think he likes Desmond Clark. He went to him on the final play of the game.

He's actually given Dallas alot of love over the years, but this year, Dallas has let him down...

So he's going with a different team.

Cowboys just need to go out and prove him wrong.

If the Cowboys lose to Atlanta will it be because they are world beaters or because the Cowboys suck? If the Cowboys beat Atlanta will the Falcons still be world beaters? Will the Cowboys still suck?

I know you know but I highly doubt the OP knows anything about the bears or anyone that's plays for the bears or anything not related to dallas.

A. The falcons are the better team.

B. The bears tight is actually pretty good.

C. the media does nothing but tell us how bad Dallas is, so why do they need to make statements like atlanta is better and will PROVE it. Isn't it already implied from the past 7 months of constant negative talk about Dallas. Hasnt the national media already established that everything in Dallas sucks. This is what they spent the whole spring and summer talking about.

So why do they even say this stuff, isnt it a given they will blow us out?

Actually, Greg Olsen is a fantastic TE. The fact that they've failed to get him involved much this season is puzzling to many pundits around the league. I love Bennett and his POTENTIAL, but Greg Olsen is no joke.

I do agree with your assessment about the Falcons. They are a good team, no doubt, but they aren't unbeatable this week by any stretch. Honestly, the difference between the Cowboys and the Falcons is the fact that the Falcons find ways to win rather than shooting themselves in the foot. If Dallas can eliminate the stupid mistakes (all of them seem to be in the "simple football fundamentals" department) then I think they can hang with and beat any team in the league. The question is: When do they start playing smart football and stop making the most correctable of mistakes on a week to week basis?

However, it's not like Olsen is lighting it up this year either. There was big talk about him becoming Cutler's go-to guy. Guess not.

Even if they are better, and I have no problem with people saying that, better teams do lose in this league, especially on the road.

If the Raiders can beat the Eagles, we can darn sure beat the Falcons.

oh and if you are all upset about what golic said which was completely harmless, Whatever you do dont listen to mike lombardi on the ticket from this morning or read his blog.

After listening to him this morning with the musers, I dont think we can win again. I am not sure we could beat florida or alabama from all of the faults he said we have.

You're comparing average to average and it's not worth really debating.

You just said he's not looked at a lot from Cutler. The kid is legit if the QB will look his wayl. He is average but bennett is from far average Bennett is trash.

That's true considering the rational of cowboys fans we're always the better team when we lose .

Agree. Atlanta is a really good and balanced team. Ryan and Gonzales had immediate chemistry so we best cover him.

Prior to the ATL game, Olsen's impact has been minimal.
