Oh well...might as well get used to quotes like this until the 'Boys man up and punch these so-called "frontrunners" in the mouth! Personally, it matters not one iota what the media thinks, I just want Dallas to go out on the field and prove TO THEMSELVES that they can win! Hopefully, the KC game, as "ugly" as a win can be for some people, actually serves as a springboard inside the locker room as far as confidence goes and has them believing they can WIN any game instead of wondering how they'll LOSE the game...

Golic's comments don't bother me at all.

See, that's the great thing about football.

Both teams are going to prove something. And at the end of the day, we'll know who the better team was on that day and why they were better.

Olsen may be off to a slow start but he had over 50 catches last year and is one of the better TE's in the league.

Comparing him to super overated Bennett is laughable. He may have talent, but it appears he has no idea what he is supposed to do. No QB is going to throw to a guy, who he has to line up all the time.

Bottom line is if we want to make the playoffs we better beat Atlanta, IMO. If Ryan doesn't get hurt they will be there in the last week battling for a Wild Card spod, more than likely. If we hold the head to head it could mean getting in the playoffs or not. Same with GB when we play them.

Don't see this posted anywhere: Today, on ESPN Radio's Mike and MIke show, Mike Golick picked the Falcons to beat Dallas. He said, and I quote "The Falcons are better team and they will go down to Dallas and prove it".

What was pathetic is that he said it so definitively. Yeah, whatever! The Bears, who have no WRs to speak of, a sub par running game, and an an OL that often gets pushed back, had no problems moving the ball in the 4th quarter to get in position for a tie and/or win.

It was the Bears own mistakes that cost them. What I saw was a Bears team that could throw at will in the middle of the field and they don't even have a good TE. In fact, Bennett is a better receiving TE than what the Bears have and their TE (and WRs) were making plays all over the middle of the Atlanta defense.

And at the end of the game, Atlanta lost their best CB for the year. So what started out as a bad secondary for them just got 50% worse!

Sorry, but Atlanta is NOT the better team, Mr. Golick, and when they go down to Dallas, the Cowboys will prove that!

And this surprises you? It doesn't me. Of course he and others are going to say this. Based on the records and play of the teams.
I can care less who they predict, as long as we come away with a win.

The premise of this thread is a bit weak. Every week Mike and Mike pick all of the games. It's Golic's job to pick every winner, every week and the way he phrased it is not at all unusual for him. In other words, this is just run of the mill entertainment.

Exactly. That's his style on the show, he tends to throw out the "this is absolutely how it will happen" arguments/predictions.

Greg Olsen
15 catches 151 yards 3 TD's

Marty B
4 Catches 40 yards 0 TD's

Bennett is clearly the better TE....

Would you care to speculate what you think Olsen's stats might look like if he played with Jason Witten?

Golic's constant overrating of Notre Dame should make anyone pause and contemplate his football prediction skills.

The Falcons have a very good team and have the capability of beating Dallas. However, this game will mostly likely be dictated by the penalties and turnovers, which the Cowboys may gift Atlanta; just as it has been the case over the past five games.

oh and if you are all upset about what golic said which was completely harmless, Whatever you do dont listen to mike lombardi on the ticket from this morning or read his blog.

After listening to him this morning with the musers, I dont think we can win again. I am not sure we could beat florida or alabama from all of the faults he said we have.
yep we suck, just in case every one did not get the memo.

I'm looking forward to Dallas facing off vs Alt. A good chance to shut the critics up for a while. Alt is a good team not unbeatable by any means.

Cutler doesn't look to Olsen much, but I think he likes Desmond Clark. He went to him on the final play of the game.

He's actually given Dallas alot of love over the years, but this year, Dallas has let him down...

So he's going with a different team.

Cowboys just need to go out and prove him wrong.

thats all they need to do

I say we play the game first then we talk.

After all we only beat teams with losing records. Let's see what we can do against teh Falcons.
