Still, Dak better score more than 3 points.Cowboys D is going to be a bad bunch to deal with next weekend. Goff is in trouble.
Exactly. The issue isn’t scoring 20ish points, it’s that Rush wasn’t responsible for many of those points. We scored 22 points against LA and Rush was a meaningful contributor to 3 of them.
And it’s fine to win games that way, it’s just not sustainable.
That being said there’s no reason to expect us not to score in the 30s-40s this game.
It's 35 points or bust.
A win only scoring 20ish wasn't good enough for some with Rush at QB, so I expect the same energy if it happens with Dak.
35 PPG from here on out and at least 4 straight wins to match what we did with Rush.BS, I do expect better play from the offense but making claim of anything under 35 is a bust is ridicules.
that's good. he gets a couple of warm up games to get in the groove. keeping in mind he didn't play in pre-season and it showed in tampa game and that was only 3/4 of a game....After facing pretty much all defenses ranked in the top half of the league (and a few in the top 5 or 10), Dallas now gets to face Detroit---
who has the worst-ranked Total Defense (428 ypg) and Scoring Defense (34ppg) in the entire NFL.
Dallas should be able to put up at least the league average of 34 points on these guys.
Perfect timing for Dak to get in a groove.
I'm not in that group that said Rush > Prescott...not even close.
But don't even think about comparing how the offense does in this game vs facing real defenses. This Detroit defense is truly awful.
The Lions do have a solid offense though, so the D will have to show up.
Yep, they are not just laying down and the Lions have a history when playing the Cowboys.BS, I do expect better play from the offense but making claim of anything under 35 is a bust is ridicules.
No no no. If Dallas puts up "the league average of 34 points", they will be called "garbage stats".
35 PPG from here on out and at least 4 straight wins to match what we did with Rush.
Anything less is a failure from Dak.
Ya'll made him this mythical character while he was injured, so don't get all emotional that we expect him now be what you built him up to be while injured.
Yep, they are not just laying down and the Lions have a history when playing the Cowboys.
Kind of strange just thinking a NFL team can easily light up another team for 35 when they're averaging 1.5 TD's per game.
This is the kind of game Campbell gets his team fired up to play,
Either Dak is the missing piece between 20 PPG and 30+ PPG or not.BS, I made up nothing, Rush and the offense struggled to move the ball, defense did most of the heavy lifting, giving up 10 twice, 16 and 17 points. I do expect the offense to move the ball and be a bigger factor in games. I hope to see Cowboys continue to run the ball and use play action off of it but in the end it is not about empty stats it is about overall production out of the offense. Converting 3rd downs, about time of possession. If Dallas offense hang 35 point great if they put up 27 or 28 points great. Frankly tired of these Dak vs Rush threads, last time I checked they were both member of this team. I hope like hell this team is not as divided as the fan base. Frankly it is beyond stupid I pull for the Cowboys period and yes I do recognize as most who cover the NFL that Dak is the starting QB of the Cowboys and that has never been a question mark.
Two big factors D’andre Swift was out and Amon-Ra St.Brown was banged up.Detroit is the weirdest team in the NFL. They averaged over 35 points per game over the first 4 games and then laid a goose egg against the Pats
Their D is dreadful…no excuse not to put up at least 30 on them (teams have averaged 34).
Either Dak is the missing piece between 20 PPG and 30+ PPG or not.
It's as simple as that. I expect nothing less than 30+ PPG going forward.
If Dak's not good for at least 10-15 more PPG than Rush then what are we paying him for, right?
