the whole article is in the NFL Zone and on ESPN...the idea of playing any game out of the country is absurd...no home team no home fans...but the superbowl? are you kidding goodell? why the hell would you take that away from America? I would be extremely hacked off if the Cowboys make it to the superbowl and then it ends up being played in some soccer stadium in Germany or London...ridiculous....

I tell you this is ALL about money thats it...Goodell and the entire NFL coorporate office had better be careful with their decisions...they are going to push the greedy money business too far and its going to lead to a massive collapse in fan base....if the super bowl does move to London at some point I say boycott the NFL...

I miss the old NFL.

It's an airline conspiracy, how else do you get people to fly to London in January when it's rainy and cold.

London is a nice city but Paris is far nicer. Maybe they should play the SB at the Stade de France, holds about 90000 (it is on the way from Charles de Gaulle Airport and downtown Paris).

Hell, I would try to go. Paris rules. Maybe I would see Tony Romo at Versailles ;)

If they're going to host Super Bowls outside of the U.S., they'd better make sure that time zone is not a problem. It would be a shame if the Super Bowl is played at 3:00 AM ET. There goes the "American Holiday" aspect.

they would probably start the game at 8:00pm in London or 9:00 in Germany/France which would mean 300pm starts in the east.

There is no way they would take the money out of the U.S. for an American game.

Ya know what? The Patriots cheating scandal cover was strike one. Just thinking about having any NFL game in another country is strike two. One more Goodell make it good. I am one more stupid Goodell move away from no longer being an NFL fan. Arena Football is looking better and better. Eh ill see yall in a week. I need some time away from football.

Ps: Didn't they put an end to NFL Europa because it didn't get fans?

You are so uncultured. I'm sure the wives would love to go shopping on the Champs Elysees, take in Versailles, Musee D'Orsay, Louvres while the husbands practiced.

PS, Americans pump a ton into the French economy anyway given many of you are cultured enough to travel to France.

what does uncultured have to do with not liking a country that has no appreciation for what our country did for them, has a long history of backstabbing us globally and is populated by people who are incrddibly rude and disdainful of Americans?

sorry, but that has nothing to do with culture

It wouldn't, at least as far as the owners and the NFL are concerned, they'd get theirs.

Just look at the major 'American' industries in the last 30 years that have abandoned the good ole US of A for bigger profits elsewhere.

All it would take is Barcelona to offer up X amount of dollars more than say, Detroit...and they're out of here.

Of course it could be a way of driving up the price and force municipalities to build more elaborate facilites and bigger packages to stay here.

I don't think it would be totally about their fans...but more of a way to entice tourism of our fans to their countries. The possibilities are endless. And so are the tourism bucks.

I think it's too early to consider this. I can see how the NFL dreams of their product becoming a world commodity, but right now football is a north american sport and is only slowly catching on in the rest of the world.

I would love for it to be as big a deal as soccer is, it would greatly improve the product and what not, but that is a long way off. Quit trying to ram it down the rest of the world's throat, they will accept it when they want to.

Of course not...but they wouldn't be selling the idea to the 'rank and file' football fans.

The elite and well to do experience seekers are the target.
