Goodell "Thinks" The DeflateGate Investigation Is Nearing the End

Well, the team submits the balls to the refs before the game and the ref checks them for proper inflation. And here's the part I know you won't believe: If the balls are not within proper tolerances, the ref simply makes the necessary adjustments. He doesn't notify the press, the FBI, the CIA and INTERPOL. It doesn't make national headlines for weeks.
Held responsible for what? The laws of physics taking a ball that passed inspection and decreasing the internal air pressure by ~1 PSI?

brb...its supposed to be 90* today. I bet my 35psi inflated tires on my car outside are now probably up to 90psi!

Air pressure in a sealed container tends to go up or down 1 PSI for every 25 degrees (this is a very rough estimate as there are other factors in play). Not quite sure why you think a hot day would make tires go from 35 PSI to 90 PSI. It would probably make them go from 35 PSI to 36 though.

Anyone who owns a car has gotten that "Low Tire Pressure" warning light on the first really cold morning of November. That's the laws of physics in action.
