These are the 4 traits Parcells looked for in drafting a qb:
  • He must be a senior, because you need time and maturity to develop into a good professional quarterback.
  • He must be a graduate, because you want someone who takes his responsibilities seriously.
  • He must be a three-year starter, because you need to make sure his success wasn’t ephemeral and that he has lived as "the guy" for some period of time.
  • He must have at least 23 wins, because the big passing numbers must come in the context of winning games.

Quarterbacks who hit all four pieces of criteria (7/14)
Peyton Manning

Drew Brees

Tony Romo

Russell Wilson

Philip Rivers

Eli Manning

Carson Palmer

Quarterbacks who hit three of the four pieces of criteria (2/14)
Andrew Luck

Matt Ryan

Quarterbacks who hit two of the four pieces of criteria (4/14)
Tom Brady

Joe Flacco

Aaron Rodgers

Ben Roethlisberger

Quarterback who hit one of the four pieces of criteria (1/4)
Cam Newton

(Cooper meets all four of the criteria)

It always amuses me when posters like you seem to think there is only one person on the field. And as usual you are wrong.
As it always amuses me when posters like you invoke the " he didn't have enough help" whine.

I referenced defense and the running game as elements of the team responsible for playoff victories.

I cited specific events of the game in support of my position.

In previous debates on the subject I have shown that the Cowboys had more Pro Bowl linemen from 2006 to 2010 than any other team.

I have cited the commitment by the team management to providing quality receivers like TO and Dez, not to mention Romo has been joined at the hips by a Hall of Fame TE since the day he got there.

There have been Pro Bowl RB's, thousand yard rushers.

During Romo's prime years of 2007 to 2009, the Cowboys had a top ten defense led by the NFL leader in sacks.

Oh yes, I am more than aware that Tony wasn't the only man on the field.....

So I have broken down, in detail, the reason for my thoughts.

You say I am wrong, so be it. I was just wondering if you had any thoughts.
