My top 10 for what they did 2016 we should make our own lists.
I only put Aaron above Dak because he outplayed Dak in the last game.
The other 2 are in the SB and they played good getting their teams there.
Tony would be in there, but he didnt get to play.
1. Tom Brady
2. Matt Ryan
3. Aaron Rodgers
4.Dak Prescott
5. Derek Carr
6.Alex Smith
7. Ben Roethlisberger
8. Russell Wilson
9. Matthew Stafford
10.P. Rivers
:omg:
Alex Smith seems high, but its you're list

It isnt about stats, it is about winning, and making plays when they need to be made.
The one thing that stands out is Dallas last possesion, and Dak threw 1 inc, and one easy bat down.
At that point Dak needed to roll out scramble, complete a pass, throw a td, take off and run, but he didnt.
So we take a FG and leave too much time also.
Another thing. You said its about wins......ok Dak had 13 which is good for 2nd place in your chart

I don't think there can be much debate around the top 7 of his list, aside from the order. After that I think it's a toss up between the three listed there, with Dak and Rivers in the mix as well. I'd go
1) Rodgers
2) Ryan
3) Brady
4) Roethlisberger
5) Carr
6) Brees
7) WIlson
8) Rivers
9) Stafford
10) Dak or Luck

Him pushing the premise that Brady and Matty are the best because they had a great season, and yet Dak gets no recognition although he did better than a large percentage of that list makes no sense to me.

Mariota? Prescott was better as a rookie in these categories:
  • Wins (more than Mariota has in two seasons combined)
  • Completion percentage
  • Yards
  • INT%
  • ANY/A
  • Passer rating
  • QBR
All of this while getting sacked more often. The only meaningful stat that Mariota was ahead in is touchdown percentage, and that wasn't by much.

I said it was debatable and I don't really care either way.
However
Detroit's line was ranked 14th in 2014....that is not "great"
Stafford has never had a line like we have and he certainly has never had ZEKE and the running game that we have.
Megatron was great but he was just one guy...and often injured at that in the late years

Look, you're perfectly allowed to think Dak is better than Stafford. It wouldn't make you crazy.
I was just pointing out that Stafford on our team would be pretty sick.
I also think Stafford has improved.

Bottomline is that we a very lucky to have Dak

2013 The Lions gave up second fewest sacks, 1600 combined yards from Bush and Bell, Megatron was Megatron. Stafford still couldn't complete 60% and picked 19 times.

You're right, Dallas is very lucky to have Dak, but Stafford is grossly overrated.

Youre entiltled to your opinion
Like I said, I think Stafford has improved
I dont really care how some rate him vs Dak
Though scrolling tnrough this thread, it appears than many or most have Stafford higher
I dont really care

We aren't talking about a team win or lost. We talking about who played better and that was Dak. Debating otherwise shows your not really in touch with the game or you fooling yourself.

You also said Rodgers got TDs not FGs.........Dak threw more TDs and Crosby was a hero.......that's the GB kicker by the way
Rodgers "got" 4 td's lol to dak's 3 it does not matter whether it is a pass or a run.
Dallas settled for 3 fgs, GB settled for 1 , then there was the last fg which was not a settle for.
GB had more TD's Dallas had more fg's

To me playing "better " is where your team gets to in playoffs.
otherwise Drew Brees might be the best, but it didnt do his team much good.

It is all about winning not playing good or having great stats.
I think Dak would say the same thing.

yeah I watched about 8 of the tenn games this year, and he makes too many mistakes and turnovers.
He should not be in the top 10.

Rodgers had 0 rushing TDs.......not sure how you can count somebody else TDs for Rodgers. I get it you keep changing things to try and justify it. Dak as a QB outplayed Rodgers. It's ok

GB had 2 FGs by the way not 1 like you suggest

Ok wins, + playoff wins,+ how far the team goes,+do they make big plays in big games?
And I would have Dak above rodgers, had he done a little better in the last game.
He needed to get a td on that last drive and didnt.
that was where he needed to make a big play and didnt.
When rodgers got the ball back he was in very bad position, but he made the big play, thats the difference.

Goss didnt even have dak on the list LOL I had him at # 4 I think, and higher than what anyone else put him in their list.
All year long Dak made the plays when needed, but fell short in the playoffs, but not saying it was his fault,
I put all the fault for loss on JG and the OC AND DC.

Ryan and Brady both had good seasons, and won both playoff games, and are in SB, so they did the best.
I dont like ryan, but there he is in SB so I will give him credit for that.
People go on about super rodgers, and he is good, but every year now he is at home watching the SB like me lol.
Dak and all the other qb's will be watching from home too, or I dont know they may go to the game.

I say Cooks catch was much more impressive then the throw.....even with GB holding and not being called. Dak led the team to tie it twice and with 30 seconds on the clock it took an amazing catch to beat Dallas. Say all you want but Dak outplayed Rodgers and is not close.

By the way I don't think Dak should be ahead of Ryan or Brady just going from your way of thinking

wow lol
GB had 2 FGs by the way not 1 like you suggest ..........I said they had 2, but the last one wasnt a drive that ended in a fg,
it was a get in position for fg play with 3 seconds left so that doesnt count as "settled for"
Dallas "settled" for fg's 3 times GB 1 time.
GB had 2 rushing td's Rodgers gets credit for those same as a pass lol
The whole idea is to get in the endzone, and a pass isnt better than a run, they are the same.
GB 4 td's
Dallas 3 td's
The job of the qb is to get the ball into the endzone more times than the other team, Rodgers did that.
And for fg's, teams only win with them if they get a bunch of them or it is last second fg.

If Dak had scored a td on that last drive, Dallas more than likely wins that game.
Spiking the ball hurt as not only did they lose a play, it allowed GB defense to regroup and catch their breath, it should have been no huddle
just go , keep them on the field no break and run elliot.
But our coaches called the spike then 2 passes and no td, so poor dak couldnt get it done.

Well Dak did play better during parts of the game, and he did play good bringing the team back, but meanwhile
rodgers outscored DAk in each of the first 3 qrt's, he only won the 4th qtr.
1.7-3
2.14-10
3.7-0
4.17-6 dak

By the way I don't think Dak should be ahead of Ryan or Brady just going from your way of thinking..........I never said he should be, just ahead of rodgers if dallas had won.
If Dak makes a td throw or just gets a td on last drive and dallas wins, then I would have him above rodgers, and then it would depend on what happened in game with atlanta.
And Brady is the best AFC QB no matter what dak does.
