I should have known Cas was a Hamlin supporter. :D

I love my DBs man!

Look...Hamlin is serviceable. Has he been Ed Reed back there? Absolutely not, but people here tend to compare everyone to our Hall of Famers (Hamlin to Woodson) and it's just not a fair comparison.

For the record, anyone that knows anything about football should agree that Hamlin is much better back there than the fodder we had after Woody retired....

......then again, this is CZ :p: they'll be screaming for Felix Jones to be cut next week if he has another 96 yard, 1 TD rushing effort but gets caught by defensive backs on a 56-yard scamper

I like Ken Hamlin if he can just sit back in pass defense looking to lay a hit or jump a route.

Everything else I'd rather avoid.

Hamlin is effective in center field when we have a nice lead, but very ordinary the rest of the time.

Hamlin just thinks he is a bad *** in the run game, and he just isn't.

His tackling form is atrocious. For one, he doesn not keep his head UP when he makes a hit (he runs by people b/c he can't see anyone). Secondly, Hamlin tackles too low (ankles) or too high (shoulders), he should be hitting the player in the thigh and THEN wrap, lift AND DRIVE. A lot of players don't wrap OR lift anymore, forget drive, but Hamlin is one of the worst offenders.

Hamlin is fine and I think will play better in the future.

Newman looked really good in run defense and made some great tackles Sunday. Things like this have gone unnoticed due to a few bad throws by Romo, but that happens to every quarterback.

Hamlin makes Roy look like Ed Reed and Troy Palomalu rolled into one.

This is blashemy I know, but Berry will be better than Darren Woodson. Problem is, we'd need a Top 5 pick to get Berry, maybe Top 3.

Woody was great but I always thought James Washington and Thomas Everett were the 2 best safties the Cowboys have had in the JJ era.

How many F's are there in "Fail"?

For some silly reason though I'm still holding out hope he gives us his money's worth.

Good news is this will be his last year here. He has a $7,096,000 Cap Hit in 2010 and a base of $5,596,000 (actual money Jerry would have to pay him).

If cut, his Cap Hit (dead money) would be $6,000,000. So even if next year is capped, we save $1,096,000 in cap room and Jerry saves $5,596,000 in actual money.

Quoted for awesomeness.

You guys are just still lingering from the loss. He needs to tackle better. That's my only criticism from him. Other than that? He's been fine. I don't know what planet you guys live on but corners get beat. Safeties miss assignments. The secondary needs to play better. I agree. But its the 2nd week of the season.

When does he ever do any of this? Certainly not the two games this yr or any of the games last yr.

He just isnt any good, period.

I almost hate Ken Hamlin as much as Julius Jones does. Almost.

The same numbers that people used to crucify RW.

RW made more plays than Hamlin has ever dreamed about. He was also eons a better tackler.

I thought it was this offseason. Well either way it was a huge mistake.

No, the epic fail would have been having BIGG or McQuistan playing left tackle instead of Flo.

You, my friend are the EPIC FAIL.

we need to keep drafting safeties until we find ones that can play. giving guys 1 year contract years, having them play above their potential that year. then giving them a huge contract they don't deserve is gonna keep hurting us. I bet it happens with Sensabaugh too.

So far I havent seen anything from Sensabaugh that would warrant us giving him a big long term extension.

Ken has to play lights out Ed Reed style from this point on to change my view of him. As the defensive QB he just doesn't get it done at all.
That pretty much covers it.

I disagree man. Sensabaugh is a sure tackler and will lay the wood. He's always around the ball. None of our DBs have gotten a turnover yet so I wouldn't single him out for that but- he has had some unnecessary penalties.

the talent on this defense outside of Ware and Ratliff is pretty much average an overrated.....Dallas at no point in a season should EVER be ranked 30th in defense. I do not care that we have only played 2 games....we have no injuries on that side of hte ball. The guys on that side of the ball are who we CHOSE to roll with. The money and draft picks invested on that side of the ball should never equal out to 30th in the NFL.
