Graziano gives update on Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey

Its almost universally accepted that the 4 elite NFL current QBs are Mahomes. Allen, Burrow and Lamar in the regular season

3 have been elite in the playoffs at some point and 1(Lamar) has seldom been ever elite in the playoffs.

But in 2022 ( current decade) Joe ( oft-injured and oft-sacked) Burrow was elite all the way to the SB.
Lamar a 2 time MvP so I get it. Josh and Mahomes I get.

Burrow for the life of me I don’t get how he’s in the convo with those 3.

I can’t even put him in Staffords class.

So just curiosity do you think Darnolds playoff run was elite?

It's just not realistic i'm sorry!! Go ahead and make big news, and the cowboys again will be the top story because we set the market on a player, only for that player to NOT get us to where we need. It's like giving micah his money, was that money really going to help us get to a superbowl if we gave it to him
That’s not true—maybe that was the case in the past, but it’s not the present. Jerry and Co. made a huge decision to let Parsons go, and that was a first for him. Parsons is an elite player, but he pushed things too far. It wasn’t just about the antics; Jerry considered Parsons’ personality, what he saw off the field, and the way the agent and player pushed for money beyond what Jerry thought he was worth. In the end, Jerry made the right call.

As for Aubrey, let’s stop acting like this is somehow Jerry’s issue when he hasn’t even commented on it yet.

The facts show that the narrative about them not offering players money early is false—they offered Aubrey a deal last September. Both sides reportedly agreed it was around $7 million, which would have made him the highest-paid kicker and slightly reset the market, accounting for inflation this year. The offer was turned down by the agent and player, and now they’re pushing for $10 million. From what I’ve heard, whether it’s rumor or not, they’re holding firm at $7–7.5 million and won’t go higher. If someone wants him, they’ll take a second-rounder, and we’ll see for the second offseason in a row that Jerry and company won’t keep setting the market or be held hostage.

But no matter what they do, they get criticized—overpay and they’re called stupid, don’t pay and they’re accused of letting elite talent go. It’s a no-win situation for the front office.

I know Jerry can be loyal and sometimes overpays for players, and most of the time it’s not a big deal, but I’ve seen…

They even brought in Pickens, a trade for a 3rd rounder was a great trade, they started last year outside of making a mistake with a defensive coaching staff of changing their ways and even offered Aubrey a contract last September, that he turned down his agents playing hardball, they're pushing it too far but they already said the second round tender is coming, just like the franchise tag for Pickens,

We might be seeing baby steps, but it is change.

Hate and being salty will give you high blood pressure.
One would think you would be an expert on hate...but...you're in love so you don't know it's power. Hatred of stupidity and evil don't raise your blood pressure...it's a pressure release valve on BS.

But when you've been...compromised...by love...well...it would seem like "high blood pressure" to you.

They gonna cave to a kicker smh
First of all if they didn't sign him there's going to be an equal amount of people thinking they're dumb for letting him walk they're in a no win situation I don't get it with you guys but they already said they're getting him 10 million they quoted,

" we felt like we gave him a fair offer It's still on the table"

Offers rumored to enough to make him slightly the highest paid kicker They're going to put the tender on him and stick to that number, let's just say it's 7.

Looks not caving that's fair He's a top three kicker that's top three money However I don't think they're moving it up to 10 I think at best if they really really wanted to keep him they're going to 7.5 and that's where it's gonna stay.

Visit you think they're going to cave on a kicker ,when they offered the deal last year and I don't think they're happy that he turned it down and now we're going to go into negotiations with the same money on the table and if it works out they end it up a little that's cool but they let Parsons walk, Why would you not think they would allow a kicker to walk?

Guarantee they won't pay him $10 million I don't know where the numbers gonna end up but I bet they're thinking like us there's no way they're paying him more than what they just paid Williams at running back given the fact it's a harder position it's a more important position regardless of how much points kickers put up and how much a weapon he can be the end of game if you need a 55 plus yarder he's still a kicker and I don't think they're going to pay a kicker more than their running back...
