Mandarich was 100% a product of 'roids and everyone knew it except apparently the Packers.

IM not denying he is good, or looks great... I am just saying that for every player that is great and looks great, there are three of those 4 types that are busts in the NFL. You just hope your guy is the one that isnt.

Had they been willing to admit to themselves that he was a steroid baby then he would not have been. The Packers fooled themselves into ignoring his drug tests. Not every team would have been so willing.

If the Packers had passed on him, hed likely still have been a top 10 pick.

In any event, steroids wasnt even the point of discussing him. It was the fact he was a very high 1st rd pick and didnt do squat. The top 5 players in that draft, minus steroid man all made the HOF.
