We are going to the Playoffs for the first time in 3 years with a REAL shot at going to the Super Bowl.

The 49ers are going home for the playoffs with a real shot at WATCHING us in the Super Bowl.

If our criteria for an interior lineman is anything less than a strong, mountain of a man who can push people around and create a new LOS at the point of attack, then we need to revaluate our strategy.

Actually, yes we do. What really was detrimental about Larry was he couldn't get to the 2nd level before the RB. Multiple TDs have been scored by Barber this year when Kosier got to the LB on the next level and cleared the way.

mb3 did well breaking those 300 punders tackles at the line of scrimmage if you review the game he made a few spin moves on those lineman at the line to gain positive yardage

BTW Gore behind Larry has 40 attempts inside the opposing 20 for 4 tds.

Barber has 46 attempts inside the opposing 20 for 13 TDs.

Tell me again how we are missing Larry in short yardage situations. Tell me again how getting out to the 2nd level is not important.

All in all Mr. 1500 yard rusher and his Wonderlineman have 6 rushing TDs. JJ and Barber have combined for 17.

Yes Larry was a great player and probably one of the best to ever play the game. So was Emmitt. There comes a point in time when the greatest begin to lose a step......then it's time to move on.

The downfall of many teams is that they hold on to players too long.

You are using valuable cap dollars for sentimental reasons.....use those dollars and start replacing those players that are past their prime w/future great players.

It's sad and we miss them but it's the nature of the beast.....AGE.....The athletes biggest enemy.

Larry is not here people need to get over it. It was a business move on the Cowboys part based on a bonus that would have been due that no way in hell did Larry deserve. Living in the past brings back great memories but Allen is not near the same player and his health had become a big issue in Dallas over the last few years he was here, even in SF he missed 5 games out of the season. He was not worth the money Dallas would have had to pay. Jerry got stupid in the past paying player who were well past their prime and I'm glad he is not making the same mistakes out of loyalty.

the Steelers went in as a WC last year, and they won the Super Bowl

I think we would be a better rushing football team, yes, and rushing late in games is what wins playofin the playoffs all too often

And the reason why i will watch them is because I'ma fan and I root for my team, even when I doubt their ability to succeed
